Competition Season?!πŸ‘€
It's been brought to my attention that Pole Sport Organization's (PSO) 2026 Southwest Competition is happening in Dallas, TX on August 1st! The registration deadline is June 1st which leaves us a good amount of time to get familiar with the 5 different skill levels and performance style categories, then consider which ones best suite you so you can decide if you're interested in competing! The best thing about PSO is it's accessible for ALL skill levels! We will do a deep dive on this soon so stay with me if you're curious! There's also opportunity to perform without being judged/ranked, and they'll need volunteers which is a great way to gain access to supporting your friends! I've participated in lots of PSO events. I've won some medals, built winning routines with students who concurred what they once thought was impossible, and served as a judge and PSO ambassador. The full event packet is attached below, but also LETS TALK ABOUT IT! Would you consider competing?!

@Eden Walker @Verna C @Sam Stokesberry What questions do you guys have and what does your brain NEED to know in order to decide if performing at PSO Southwest is the move?

@Sam Stokesberry @Verna C Great questions! Let's start with prep time, With 4 months between now and August 1st, you're sitting pretty as far as building a routine goes. I'd aim to have the bulk of your routine put together before 2-4 weeks out. Competition dedicated training for a minimum of 3-5 hrs/week on average. Even taking classes can serve as comp training if you intensify your focus on performance quality movement. You both have physically demanding passions outside of Pole. Increasing the time and effort spent on this Pole comp will likely require you to temporarily pull back from another passion of yours. But in return, you'll make some awesome core memories in the training process and on competition day :) You both also have me and my 12+ years worth of insight specific to designing competition routines that are optimized for your performance category. πŸ’– I'll list the basics to consider for costs below. One thing to note is that if we end up with a "gaggle of baddies" participating, we can pool our forces together to cut costs on semi-private lessons, and the road trip and stay in Dallas. COSTS Registration: $155 Photo & Video: $60 (optional) Competition Outfit: _____ Private Lessons: _____ Road Trip to Dallas: _____ Hotel / Airbnb: _____ What're your thoughts after considering all that? πŸ™‚

MINI TUTORIAL #1
β€œPOINT YOUR TOES!!” How many times have you heard this, inside or outside of your head?! πŸ˜† As a baby poler, the command to point my toes was never accompanied with a proper breakdown of HOW to point my toes, what MUSCLES to use or what that engagement FEELS like. Allow me to expedite the trial and error process with this 2.5 minute mini tutorial that will polish your leg extension below the knee!! πŸ¦„πŸͺ„πŸŒˆ Do you commit to fully engaging your toe points from this day forward?!?
