Mini Greenhouse πŸ“πŸ…πŸ«‘
Flicking through Aldi’s coming sales I spotted this mini greenhouse at Β£40. Unfortunately I don’t have room for a real greenhouse so this will be ideal for me. Thought I would share in case anyone else was interested.

Pak Choi πŸ₯¬
So last September I had some Pak Choi seeds and chucked them in a container with fresh compost (outside) After weeks of no sign of life I gave up any hope of anything coming from them. Just 2 weeks ago I saw their pretty little leaves swaying in the gentle breeze and today they’ve grown even bigger. Would you say that they’re ready for me to eat? I’m planning on making a Chicken Chow Mein this week and I would love to include them in it 🀞🏻 I really don’t want them to go to waste.

@Mary Roach thanks, I’ll pinch a few leaves from the bigger plant
Cats πŸˆπŸˆβ€β¬›
I have a few local cats that will use my newly sowed seeds pots as their toilet (given half the chance) What can I use to protect my pots from this. At the minute I’ve got flimsy netting over the pots but I’m not confident that the next gust of wind won’t take the netting with it. Any recommendations?

@Mark Byford thank you, I’ll definitely give it a try 🀞🏻
Sowing Peas πŸ«›
I’ve probably made a load of mistakes doing this but I thought it was worth a go. I sowed peas this morning and made my own little structure for them. A don’t know the variety of peas they are so I’ve just chucked them in and hope for the best. The cost of living crisis is kicking it butt at the best of times but a while ago I really hit a really hard period. Someone sent me a load of seeds through the post to basically help me eat πŸ™πŸ» The little envelope was simply labelled β€˜peas’. As keep all kinds of useful things, I used this very old tin laundry thing as it’s nice and deep. I have some little twig things in the shed and reused string that I’ve kept to tie the little structure together. I haven’t really got the funds to buy lots of garden equipment so I use what I’ve got including trowel, spade and rake I inherited from my late Father πŸ’™ If this works I will be so chuffed!

@Mark Byford thank you. I’m up for a bit of experimenting. I’m going to get a little growing book and record what worked and what didn’t. So going forward I’ll know what not to repeat
Container Growing
Thank you so much for the add. Although I’ve successfully grown before on a very small scale I consider myself new to this but thirsty for knowledge. I can only grow in pots as my garden and house was built on an old council garage site so just centimetres under the soil you hit solid concrete. Garden is small so container growing is the best I can do for the time being
