In modern handball, we should dedicate more time to decision-making under pressure, perceptual-cognitive training, and game-based situations that replicate real match intensity. Research shows that players improve more when training includes variability, opposition, and contextual interference. On the other hand, we often overemphasize isolated technical drills without opposition and excessive physical conditioning detached from game context. While important, these should be integrated into specific, tactical scenarios rather than trained in isolation.
