Get ready for the jam with 15 MUST KNOW TUNES!
Hello everyone! We’ve just added a "15 MUST KNOW GYPSY JAZZ TUNES" list to the "ONLINE JAM SESSIONS" course under the dedicated chapter. We will definitely be playing the first few songs tomorrow, so head over there to find the sheet music to print in advance, and reference tracks. Click the link in your calendar to join us live tomorrow at 5:00 PM. See you then!

Duo albums
I'm starting up a violin/vocals and guitar duo, playing jazz/gypsy jazz standards. My guitarist plays with a similar sound and style to Martin Taylor. Can anyone recommend good recordings to listen to with that combination?

This is not from the lessons, but challenging myself to improvise an over under enclosure pattern, over as many chords as possible in a tune in Ab!

🎯 What’s your main objective right now ?
Hey everyone! I’d love to know: what’s the main goal you’re working toward in your violin journey at the moment? It could be anything: – a technical objective (better intonation, clean shifts, faster arpeggios…) – a musical objective (improvising confidently, learning standards, improving swing feel…) – or even a personal objective (building a steady practice routine, gaining confidence, preparing for a jam…) Sharing it here helps you clarify your direction — and it can also inspire others in the community 💛 👉 So tell us: what’s the objective you want to focus on this month?
