🏆 XFC European Championship 2026 in Rome The third fight our Swiss delegation had to manage was Noé Garcia against the Romanian fighter Dibu Dinel in K1 Light under 40 kg. Being the son of a sensei is something I would not wish on anyone. Especially when you are the youngest in a family of fighters and, at only 9 years old, you already want to prove to the older teenagers in the dojo that you are capable of standing at their level. Noé wanted to be there to support his older brothers and follow in the footsteps of his father, who also spent his life fighting. And when you are the youngest child, you always want to come, participate, and fight no matter what. Sometimes this creates family tensions because as parents we know they may not yet be ready, while they still want to go at all costs. Honestly, I do not even want to count the number of times I had to throw in the towel to protect my children. Because winning at all costs is not what matters most. What matters is having the courage to step forward, even against opponents who are bigger, stronger, and more experienced. Sometimes they cried, sometimes they doubted themselves, but they always came back stronger. Our role as parents and coaches is to give them confidence, to help them overcome the impossible, but also to know when to stop a fight before injuries happen. It is also our responsibility to speak with coaches and officials when the differences become too important in order to find the right sporting and human solutions. And honestly, the Romanian fighter’s level was extremely high. We were facing a true amateur national team already organized like professionals, with young athletes being prepared for major futures in combat sports. Some already have professional profiles and structures built around them. We should never forget that in these amateur European competitions today, we are watching the professionals of tomorrow. The fight was eventually stopped by TKO in the second round after a powerful spinning back kick landed to Noé’s abdomen. Despite this, Noé continued trying to give everything he had and absolutely did not disappoint.

We had the honor of opening the XFC European Championship gala in Rome with a demonstration prepared by the Swiss delegation. Our message was simple, universal, and deeply human:Respect, Peace and Protection. We practice martial arts and combat sports to defend these fundamental values. Respect for others, protection of the weak, and peace between people must remain at the heart of our practice. We are not here to make politics. Of course, we could walk with the flags of all the nations suffering from war, injustice, or violence today. But on behalf of XFC, Mixed Fighting System Switzerland, and BRICPOL, we chose to carry a universal message: peace, respect, and the protection of fundamental human rights around the world. Every child deserves to grow up in a home where safety, respect, and peace exist. Every child should have the opportunity to practice martial arts to learn discipline, self-defense, and how to become a better human being. This demonstration was also meant to remind people that behind every combat sport there is a martial root, a philosophy, and a heritage. We deliberately mixed kung fu with modern combat sports to show that performance cannot truly exist without the values of Budo: Honor. Courage. Integrity. Loyalty. Respect. Our program was a real human challenge because we wanted the entire delegation to participate. From the youngest member of our team, Bryan, 7 years old, to the oldest member, myself, 52 years old, everyone had to show their passion and their place in this collective adventure. We presented all the disciplines practiced within our federation: kung fu, boxing, free boxing, BRICPOL, kickboxing, and grappling. And what makes this story even more beautiful is that in almost every discipline presented during this demonstration, our team later won European titles. It is now official.With the approval of the Geneva Automnales, Claudio Alessi and AC Productions Organisation, Santiago Bongo for BRICPOL, John Lelong and the International Mixed Fighting System Federation, we are extremely proud to officially announce the ALPINE NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP 2026, one of the biggest martial arts and combat sports events ever organized in Switzerland. 📍 The event will take place on Saturday, November 14th, 2026, during the prestigious 16th Salon de l’Art du Mouvement at the Geneva Automnales in Palexpo. This event also marks an important symbolic return, as more than ten years ago the Swiss BRICPOL Championships had already made a strong impact at Palexpo. Today, a new generation returns to make Geneva vibrate again with a modern, realistic and international vision of combat. It is a great honor for me to preside over the stand of the Swiss Mixed Fighting System Federation, bringing together the disciplines of BRICPOL, Boxe Libre, English Boxing, Kickboxing and Grappling. 🔥 Only true enthusiasts will understand.It is difficult to teach real self-defense when you have never experienced the pressure of combat, fatigue, stress, timing or confrontation. Training students requires credible, realistic and effective techniques for protection and survival. 🥊 This OPEN competition will gather fighters from 7 to 50 years old from several European nations, with light, medium and full contact fights. More than one hundred selected fighters are expected in front of what promises to be an exceptional audience. 🏆 Each division winner will receive a trophy, while medals will be awarded to all those who had the courage to step onto the fighting area and defend their colors with honor and respect.
