Alzheimer's and Squats 🤯
I recently learned that Alzheimer's is a metabolic disorder, and that exercise after eating can reduce your risk. Specifically, leg (since it's such a large muscle group) strengthening exercises are great for pulling large amounts of glucose from the blood stream, hindering the need for an insulin spike. Increasing leg strength is also associated with higher cognitive function! <- This has to do with the hippocampus...I'll link the article <3 I am committed to 30 squats after at least 1 meal everyday for 1 week. 💪🦵 https://www.verywellhealth.com/leg-strength-and-brain-health-8726261
