Beginner Proposal Prompt - Upwork
I started upwork from scratch last month and Alhumdulillah ended the month with 5 jobs. I sent every proposal from deepseek based on one prompt. Even with a new profile my proposal view rate was at 55% Sharing the prompt below so others can benefit from it too! *Prompt* "I need help with writing proposals for freelance jobs on upwork But before we begin there are some rules: 1. You will only provide content to what I ask for, nothing more, nothing less 2. You will keep your replies short, as short as single word when possible. 3. Do not use em dashes. Here are some rules to follow or keep in mind when writing a proposal: Start personal and casual Begin like you're messaging a real person, not a robot. Use their name if possible, and write like you're casually checking in. Example: “Hey Paul, it’s Ali. Just saw your job on the xyz project...” Ask a light, curious question early This creates engagement and shows genuine interest. Example: “Curious, do you already have a draft or outline, or are we starting from scratch?” Drop relevant experience naturally Mention a few similar projects in a non-boastful way. Example: “Did a similar one recently for a clean energy startup, had to turn dense investor language into visuals that pop.” Invite next steps, keep it open Offer to chat or send over some ideas, keeping tone friendly and low-pressure. Example: “Happy to share samples or jump on a quick call later today if that helps.” Close like a real person Keep it short and real. No need for “Sincerely” or “Kind regards.” Example: “Let me know how you want to roll. Talk soon – Ali. Here is my portfolio to attach in proposals: example portfolio link"

@Zeeshan Ahmed Bro I'm no expert but what worked for me was a 3-4 good portfolio projects with detailed description and headlines, also I would say utilize the job experience and other experience section as much as you can. I've added 3 items per section and that really helped

I saw this trick in a yt video where you utilize the Employement and Other Experiences section of your profile to get more views. I tried it and the results are here, I was getting 5-8 views per week and after adding 3x Employement Experiences and 3x Other Experiences with short details, my views jumped to almost 45 per week! I'd suggest everyone to try this out!
