It’s Saturday.
Some of you will be out socialising.Some of you will be raving.Some of you will be watching the football with a few beers.Some of you will be resting, resetting, or just doing absolutely nothing. And honestly? That’s life. A balanced life is not about being perfect every single day. It’s about knowing when to enjoy yourself, but also knowing when to turn back up for yourself. So if today is a day where you let your hair down, enjoy it. But tomorrow, counteract it. Get outside.Move your body.Drink water.Eat properly.Breathe.Stretch.Go for a walk.Do something that brings you back to yourself. Balance is not punishment. Balance is self-respect. You don’t need to live like a monk to be healthy, and you don’t need to destroy yourself every weekend to have fun. The goal is simple: Enjoy life, but don’t abandon yourself in the process. Balanced life = happy life.
Hump Day Thought: You Are Not Your Label
This morning I’ve been reading about diagnosis, and it really hit me. A diagnosis can be helpful. It can give people language, understanding, support and direction. But here’s the danger… Sometimes we start becoming the label. “I am anxious.”“I am depressed.”“I have ADHD.”“I’m broken.”“This is just who I am.” No. You are not your diagnosis you are not your darkest thought you are not the worst chapter of your life. A label might explain part of what you’re experiencing, but it should never become your identity. You are still a person with potential, purpose, strength, humour, love, pain, dreams and a future. So today, on hump day, remember this: Use the label if it helps you understand yourself. But don’t let it become a cage. Keep going. Keep speaking. Keep building yourself back up. One step at a time. WHEN ONE FALLS: SCAFELL PIKE CHALLENGE ⛰️
27th to 28th June, we’re taking on Scafell Pike. This one is not going to be easy. £60 covers your camping pitch, fuel contribution, food and drinks. We need proper bodies on this one. People who are up for the graft, the climb, the tired legs, and most importantly, standing together for something bigger than themselves. This challenge is about mental health, suicide prevention, community and proving that when one falls, we don’t leave them behind.
