The jury is still out—but this is my experience from growing a Skool community to $78K/month. I've seen lists of various tactics you can use, but I think the secret to long term growth is MISSION and VISION. Moving people forward, keep their eyes on the next step. Making sure people are progressing towards THEIR goals. It's a lot harder than... - Trying to "increase engagement" to keep people from leaving - Adding a cancelation video to keep them from cancelling - Updating your about page to increase conversions - Making a smooth onboarding process These are surely all important tactics to growing your membership. But truthfully all those actions need to be seen through the lens of a strong mission and vision that is way bigger than you or your community (as it sits now). Those tactics alone are UTILITY, without meaning, without VALUE. It's vision and mission that will turn a community that provides ONLY utility into a TRUE movement. That's my take. I have a long list of improvements I could make, but for me investing in mission, vision and a roadmap seems to be my secret weapon.

Thank you for this. I'm trying to find time to dive into running my own community so insights such as this one are like gold.

@Brian Smith Currently time is the problem I'm trying to solve for. I've ran decent sized free communities before on other platforms in the past. Right now I'm just swamped with client work but I'm trying to niche down more and productize what my core clients need. Won't be launching my own Skool until I know I have enough time.

NEW Tool To Create Short-Form Video FAST as Sh*T⚡
What's up yall! This is super cool, check this out. 👇 I'm kind of obsessed with making content creation as fast an easy as possible. We want to work smarter...NOT HARDER. 🧠 One of the ways I do this is by starting with a core long-form content. This could be a podcast, youtube video, livestream training, newsletter, etc. Then take that piece of content and repurpose it into a bunch of different pieces of content. One area of content I want to ramp up specifically is my short-form video game. 🎥 So guess what I did. I created a tool for our members to help them turn 1 long-form piece of content and turn it into 5, 10, even 20 short-form video scripts, to help get more reach and grow their audience faster. 👀Check it out and let me know what you think. Let me know if you got some cool prompts. I can show you a tool to help you gate them:)

I ran into this problem for a while. I eventually ended up uploading my files to AWS s3 (a more technical platform I was already used to). However I think 0CodeKit allows you to upload files temporarily and get a direct URL for your file. It’s annoying how Google Drive doesn’t play nicely with other tools when it comes to this
