Greetings
What’s up folks, Alex from Australia here, blessed to be in this group, Health and PE teacher with 30 years of soccer experience and a few S&C courses under my belt for soccer specifically. Found myself here through Darus wicked as videos when I was trying to organise some S&C sessions for my kids who fight in Muay Thai, sparked something real in me and now I’m hooked on the science behind combat sports. Just wanting to learn and help my kids on their Muay Thai journey, keeps em off the streets so for sure I’m blessed to learn a whole bunch of wicked stuff from yall to help keep them progressing and learning their art. Thanks Alex

Thanks Phillip, my son is 17 and daughter is 8, I think finding the right place (community/gym) has helped keep my kids motivated, coupled with the work we do at home. I train with my kids so they can see I’m sweating and hurting with them. I know with my son after his first two losses his motivation just skyrocketed after we changed our approach in the gym thanks to Darus condensed conjugate method, took his fight game to the next level and got his first win. It’s hard to stay motivated in a world of distraction, so I focus more on the discipline side of things, coz delayed gratification is deemed as boring to this digital generation and in a world driven by instant satisfaction it’s hard to find inspiration to constantly motivate them, so I straight challenge em man, i challenge there pattern of thought, i challenge their approach to the way they face the day and their training, all with the purpose of pursuing a better self and to not be of this world. I give em tasks to complete when they train and help them identify areas for growth so they can give themselves the best chance at being the best they can be, and honestly man the completion of those tasks is the reward, there’s nothing like seeing your kids overcome a challenge they thought they couldn’t match up to. It can be hard at times when we fight back against what the world offers (comfort) so I try keep them in line with what God intends for us and it’s never an easy path. I guess it’s one punch at a time my bro. Appreciate you man, God Bless. 🙌🏻

Freediver with little time/energy to go to the gym
Hi guys, i'm a freediving coach, currently training for freediving, both in open water as in pool, and these activities take a lot of my energy. I'm 50, in good mental and physical condition, but i know i should lift weights more to be in the best shape i can possibly be. On top of that, i also like muay thai on a recreational basis because i spend a lot of time in Thailand, and all these activities together... well... you guess it... it's just too much! 😅 I don't have a specific question, nor do i expect anyone to come up with the "ideal" training program for me. I just want to learn and understand life better 😉 Peace 🙏
