Back to Big Red; lift pump question
I have the comp cam 971 spring ready to go in. I am reusing the OG pump, which looks quite different than the two replacements I destroyed on the first 5 minutes of test drive. The comp cam spring is significantly shorter than stock. Is this ok to use?

Fuel filters
I want to mount primary fuel filter / water sep to frame and then secondary filter in stock location truck is stock 97 12v 5sp 400k original owner Going to stay with mechanical pump so a little concerned about to much restriction on suction side of lift pump

Rob did a video a while back talking about a spin on fuel filter without drain or wif sensor in stock location but didn’t elaborate on water separator he used under truck I’m interested in that setup

@Robert Winkworth thanks for your reply I’m going to use Baldwin bf7957 5 micron absolute in stock location between lift pump and p7100 But curios on what would be good on suction side for water sep I am bypassing fuel heater and strainer
