Let’s get to know one another
Thus far we have everyone that has joined to be English language speakers. Please introduce yourself, share what brought you into the community and what would you like to see happen. What do you need to get you through the holidays? Would you like to have weekly gatherings? Word you like to have presenters on topics that support your goals/business? What do these look like? What’s one question that you have for me? Let’s get started! Enjoy today

Hi everyone! I’m Alex, based in Ontario, Canada and founder of Accessible Alex. My background is in hands-on disability support and program coordination, so I came into accessibility consulting from the operational side — not just theory. I focus on practical, realistic changes for small businesses (especially restaurants and community spaces) that improve access without overwhelming owners. Accessibility is both professional and personal for me. I live in a household of three chronically ill humans, so I approach this work from lived experience as well as frontline systems knowledge. Fun facts: • I have four cats and a dog • Two of my cats were rescued after being dumped on the side of the road and are now aggressively spoiled • 4/5 of the animals are also chronically ill — consistency is clearly our brand I speak English, French (not well anymore!) and ASL. I'm excited to get started!
