@Clemens Hackmack I'm truly AWFUL, replying after a month... Forgive me!!! Anyway! Once again, thank you for sharing this reflection! It's amazing how you turned what seemed like a “dead end” into an opportunity for exploration – going from feeling stuck in a loop to discovering entirely new territories like production and media composition. And absolutely, we often think of piano, guitar, composition as separate compartments or something like that, when in fact they allow you to broaden your horizons in unexpected ways. About fear: I totally agree. That feeling before starting a new piece or sharing your work... it’s almost universal among musicians—at least talking with fellow artists, it really does seem to be a common feeling, and probably one that never fully goes away hahaha! But because it’s so common, it should actually encourage us to face each project with more lightness :) Thank you so much for your kind words about my Orchestral Tools demo—really, thank you! But to be honest, I don’t think I’ve dedicated myself to the “cause” as much as other musicians/composers who truly pour their blood day and night to reach certain levels... I still struggle to even call myself a “composer,” and every time I re-listen to that demo I think, “Is it possible I can’t do better than this?”—a thought that’s both motivating and destructive at the same time. And this, in my opinion, is where a musician needs to find balance—first and foremost, for their own inner peace hahaha! And yes, aiming for higher and higher levels, if approached with the wrong mindset (feeling inferior, incapable, constantly comparing yourself to others), definitely leads straight to burnout. But again, thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I wish you the best of luck with your Skool community and your demo reels! 🎵
