Hello dear. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in these classes. I have a question regarding meditation. I started the healing journey because a spontaneous kundalini awakening happened in a very low period of my life. So my first resources were teachers like Eckhart Tolle ( I would listen to him everyday and a deep state of bliss and presence would be with me all time-in no time) and Kim Eng meditations ( the body awareness, the resistance, the traumatic pain in our bodies and how to bring presence and dis-identification from it. The protective energy was literally transforming into life force and creating beautiful writings through me and new passions that now I am following ). Then after 3 years I started listening to non-dual teachers like Rupert Spira, Krishnamurti, Jeff Foster etc. At that time, by 2022, I was into Peter Levine and other teachers and experts in trauma and nervous system healing ( I have also some posts of yours saved on Instagram before following you in Instagram). But the thing is, nervous system healing was effortless in that state of presence. The body would do it. I wasn’t doing it. Then (because of my OCD maybe I started doubting myself) I started reading a lot how meditation doesn’t heal trauma and is a bypass and all of that (yes, it is true if •someone• tries to do meditation, the same way if •someone• tries to regulate the NS, as long as there is an identity most probably created by a protective response, healing cannot go so far ), so I quit. And in 3 years I have been up and down going through the motions- a lot of healing happened too in these spaces of somatic practitioners ( not 1:1, but through videos online) and reading about it. But predominantly disregulation was in the forefront (also because of some events). Sorry my long intro, my question is can the state of presence or bliss, or the ventral vagal energy, that meditation can bring, help in NS healing? Is oxytocin released in these instances? What’s your point of view in integrating meditation in the journey of trauma healing? And by meditation I mean contemplation or self inquiry that brings us back to ourselves and connects us effortlessly with our sima.
