My Ugly YouTube Video
Yesterday I recorded a YouTube video with my iPhone. No agenda No script Limited editing I hope this inspires you to let go of the fancy setup and use the studio that you carry around with you all day long. That's your fastest path to consistent posts. Let me know what you think and if I should do more of these 👇

@Brian O'Neill There is an "action" button you can toggle on within the actual camera app. That might help.

@Brian O'Neill I think it doesn't use the full sensor 4K, but video still looks great specially for YouTube and web.
Which of these 5 "Business Killers" is stopping you? 🍊
Most people think they have a "traffic" problem or a "niche" problem. But after sitting on hundreds of coaching calls, I’ve realized the real problem is usually an Identity Problem. You aren't "researching"... you're hiding. You aren't "being careful"... you're paralyzed. I just dropped a new video that breaks down the 5 Archetypes of entrepreneurs who circle the drain for years without ever picking their orange. Watch the video, identify which one you are, and name it in the comments below. The 5 Archetypes are: The Researcher: Why "learning" is actually your favorite form of procrastination. The Idea Juggler: How to stop treating a business idea like a marriage and start "dating" your niche. The Busy Professional: How the "Golden Handcuffs" are keeping you from your first $1 online. The Side-Hustle Jumper: Why you keep abandoning your "ugly babies" before they can grow. The Perfectionist: Why building a 108-module course is the fastest way to fail. Once you watch it, vote below: Which one are you? Naming the pattern is the only way to break it. Once you know your archetype, we can actually start building.

@Brian O'Neill Well I hope it's a speedboat so we can quickly navigate the seas of fear and get back to shore.

@Michael Moore Good lord. Well glad you are here and in the other groups with us. Let's hold each other accountable to stay on track. No more jumping.
Week One Update: The 90-Day Execution Sprint
I wanted to share a quick update after the first full week of the Pick One Project... the 90-Day Execution Sprint that we started on March 1st. The results surprised me in a good way. After just one week, more than 70% of the members in the sprint have already launched their Skool communities. Not “thinking about it.” Not “working on the idea.” They actually opened the doors and made their communities public. The others are very close and are spending a little more time dialing in their offers before launching. For week one of a 90-day sprint, that’s a very high execution rate. But the interesting part isn’t the communities themselves. It’s why it happened. It really had very little to do with the money people paid to be in the sprint. The real difference is that they made a decision to get into a room with other people who are actually building something and to hold themselves accountable publicly. When you’re working alone, it’s very easy to overthink everything. It’s easy to keep researching, tweaking ideas, or waiting until things feel perfect. But when you’re in a room where people are moving, launching, testing and sharing what they’re doing every day, something shifts. Momentum becomes normal. There are also some very clear commonalities among the people who moved the fastest this week. Most of them are already inside Mindset Skool, which means they’ve already been working on the mindset side of things - overthinking, perfectionism, comparison, and all the other things that keep people stuck. They also made the decision to focus on one idea instead of ten, and they were willing to take imperfect action quickly. And the feedback coming from the group this week has been very consistent. People are realizing that execution beats overthinking. They’re realizing that talking to real people moves things forward faster than sitting alone trying to figure everything out. They’re realizing that trying to make something “good” before putting it out into the world is often the very thing that keeps them stuck.

Beginner Video Gear Advice...
Hello team!! @Kevin Brackley asked about video and audio gear to start filming YouTube videos to promote his Skool community. Below is what I suggested. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask. Now a days you can do lots with your phone and a few things around the house. My post from The Pick One Project Group: It all depends on your budget, but starting with your smart phone and your iPad is the best bet. Maybe use the iPad for your talking head shot, this way you can run a script on the iPad with a Teleprompter app while recording if you need one, and use your phone for the top-down camera shot. For lighting see if you can have a window 45 degrees in front of you. If the lighting is too hard on your face either back away from the window or diffuse the light by hanging a white bed sheet over the window (this will make soft light, which makes everyone look their best). Davinci has a feature where you click one button and it will remove all the background noise in your audio. So test it out with your phone's audio or the iPad audio. If it still sounds canned or echo, then yeah get a microphone. You can start with a hard wire mic (meaning just the mic you clip on your shirt and the wire runs to your iPad or phone. The next level would be the DJI OSMO 3 pocket camera (its what I use for v-logs). It comes with a wireless lav mic and a wind screen (also called a dead cat, lol). The mic syncs automatically with the OSMO 3 so it's easy to use, and it has a feature where it tracks movement for solo shooters (ex. you plant the OSMO 3 on a table and you move from one desk to another or walk around the room, it will track you). If you need 1 light I use this one Aputure 60Xs for run and gun quick shoots to light one person. I love it because you can use it with batteries (not included) and have a portable light for 1 hour running time without having to plug it into the wall. It also changes color temperature for better white balance (which helps with skin color tones). You would need a soft box for this light (or any light to diffuse the light). There are lots out there, just make sure you get one that fits the Aputure 60x, or whatever light you end up getting. The price of the light is based on the size of the light and the quality of the light. Cheaper lights sometimes make your skin look sickly or add a hint of green or magenta.

@Scott Gray That's awesome man. I'm a hard believer of do what you can with what you have and slowly turn up the dial as resources become available.

@Brian O'Neill Thanks!
Can I get a side of honest feedback please?
I just finished my Skool About page and I’d love some honest feedback. The first slide will be a short clickable VSL — planning to record it this weekend, assuming I can squeeze in a haircut 💇🏻 and finish a couple client edits. Huge shoutout to @Brian O'Neill — I reworked the copy and group description based on the notes from our About Page Live Review Session inside the Pick One Project Skool community. The clarity from that session helped a lot. Before I lock it in, I’d genuinely love a few extra eyes on it. What’s one thing you’d improve or change? @Mike Cowles Oh yes, I've read about that strategy. I guess the so what would be so you can end up with a video about your mission/business that you are not embarrassed to share and represents you in the best way. Lol, love the fast car analogy. Side note but has anyone ever mentioned to you that you resemble the Hollywood film director Joh Favreau?

@Mike Cowles Swingers was a classic film. Sounds good on CTA. Will be making edits once I film my VSL to go with it. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
