Next Cohorts are open and I am asking for your help
An email will go out tomorrow creating a game for filling the next two cohorts of this program—and where there is a game, you know there are prizes!!! 🙌🎁💥 Look for that tomorrow. In the meantime, to help you help me, I am going to start posting about this on The Facebook (which is where you came from). Let me know if you are okay with me tagging you in the posts (no more than every other day or so). You can forward it to people, and you can add comments that support whatever I am asserting in the post if it feels true to you. I can certainly tag you at whatever frequency feels right to you (including not at all, obviously), and I will not tag you without express approval here. Here is a sample of the type of thing. Each post will include a meme (duh) and tie it into the work we've been doing. This is tomorrow's post with the meme: In today's hyper-distracting world managing our attention feels like a superpower - sometimes it feels like it would be easier to learn to fly. That's one of the bigger, unsung outcomes of my mindfulness course, How to Live a Grateful Life in a Fcked Up World. Our ability to experience gratitude is directly proportional to our ability to direct our attention where we want it. By default, we are pulled to focus on the problems (of which there are more than a few these days), and besides being exhausting, it takes us out of the opportunity to sit with what's beautiful, what's working, and what we love about our lives. Imagine taking back the reins of your attention so that when you're with your family, you are fully with them. Imagine the increase in performance at your job if you were able to fully be present with what you were doing (and who you were doing it with) when you were doing it. I am offering new cohorts of this free mindfulness training: one for real estate and sales professionals on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00 starting March 11 and one for Normies (everyone else) on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. starting March 5th.

Hey Aaron - I want to tag my wife for the course. She’s going to be traveling so the next one might not work for her. But the one after that might. What’s the best way to do that? Thanks … and yes it took me until session 7 to want to share this. Today’s session was very powerful… Thank you my friend.
Week Six is up - Making the Turn Toward Gratitude
I've added the link to the call in the week six classroom. This week represents the end of the second third of the course - just three more weeks to go! If you look back (or look into the current reality), you'll see you've done considerable work and taken a good amount of ground in Awareness, Allowance, and Acceptance. Keep framing it this way because you'll find that any time gratitude is missing, you're stuck in one of those three spaces. Said another way, and you've heard it on the calls if not experienced directly, that in those moments where Appreciation or Gratitude naturally arose. it was a function of you being present in the moment and resisting nothing. This is the work, this is the training, this is the practice. Next week, there will be enough of a capacity to pay attention, on purpose, in the present moment, without judgment, that Appreciation and Gratitude will be natural, simple, authentic, and fulfilling experiences from the life you have RIGHT NOW. Over the final third, we will explore different aspects of and accesses to gratitude, so when you complete this course, you will have everything you need to live a grateful life in this fucked-up world. Reminder: It matters not at all how many calls you've made it to or how much work you've done. The agreement you made with me was that if you missed any, you would FORGIVE YOURSELF COMPLETELY and pick up right where you are. That part about forgiving yourself is by far the most challenging aspect of mindfulness. Don't stop being kind to yourself at all times, under any circumstances. I can't wait to bring this puppy around the corner into the home stretch next week.

Week 5
Hi everyone, I have been sick as all get out with the flu and then I ended up pulling something in my chest from coughing so much which has made just breathing painful…. Which is why i missed our call. I missed all of you and even though I just watched the call, it’s not quite the same. It seems like I have spent my life waiting for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th… arrows to fall so I can be right about all the bad shit that happens which has gotten me nothing except being righteous about everything. Starting today, I will be looking for new opportunities when something happens.
