📚 Weekly Topic - Personalization (Hidden 💎 in Community Building)
Do you like when a Community owner mentions you publicly? Your post gets pinned. You’re mentioned in a post. I get that small moment of excitement. A quick “What’s happening?" But in a nice way. Personalization is a strong psychological concept. And because communities run on psychology…it’s important to have. It’s one of the simplest ways to build a real Community - not just a group. You might have noticed I do it often in my posts. I think we should do it as much as possible. Without limit. Some good ways that work for me: 🎉 Individual welcoming posts 🔔 Mention people in posts. 🔖 Tag people in the comments. 🏆 Share members’ win. 👀 highlight when someone’s doing something good. 📌 Pin your members posts. I want to give props to @Angela Perry for doing it in her community. She shoutouts a member who’s doing something well in her community every week. 🎖️ An amazing example for us! 🗨️Who else is doing something similar, or thinking about doing it?

I completely agree—I’ve started implementing personalization too, but it’s a bit tricky in smaller communities since there aren’t a lot of interactions happening yet. Still, even small gestures make a noticeable difference.🙂

@Paul Sirvinskas I will! Thanks for the advice, Paul!
⏱️ 24 Hours in a Day is Officially Outdated
It’s 2025. I need more. Between work, projects, fitness, relationships, eating, thinking about eating, attempting to meditate, and pretending I’m staying “balanced”… The math just doesn’t math. 😅 So I’m proposing an upgrade: ➡️ Day 2.0 — now with 30 hours! (Still not enough, but at least we’d be honest about it.)

@Oliver Wing oh man - I love Portugal! I went to Algavre in October and I loved it. I actually considered to move to Portugal at one point!🙂

@Oliver Wing amazing! I heard people sometimes go shopping to Spain, those living close to the border.
🛠️ Could You Tear Apart My Skool About Page?
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m working on improving the About page for my Skool community, and I’d love to get some honest feedback from people who are into this game and do it way better than me. I realize you may not be my target audience for this community, so I’m not asking anyone to join — I’m just looking for sharp eyes on where the page could communicate better, convert better, or simply feel clearer and stronger. If you have a moment, I’d hugely appreciate: - What feels unclear or unnecessary - What feels strong and worth highlighting more - What would you change if this was your page - Any areas where the value proposition could be tighter Here’s the link to the About page 👇 https://www.skool.com/your-earned-freedom-8346 Big thanks in advance — your insights would help me level this up a lot 🙏🔥

@Paul Sirvinskas thank you! That’s a great start! I’ll wait for more advice and adjust it. 👍
🎯 3 Types of Members
Improving engagement doesn’t mean getting Every member to engage. Most of communities have three types of members, who: 🙋‍♂️ Always engage; 👻 Never engage; 🤔 Sometimes engage. We want to reach those who engage Sometimes. They usually just need a little nudge - and they're the majority. Easy way to do this is: ➡️ Give them a tag; ➡️ Ask a simple question; ➡️ Make it easy to comment. A small change on your part can make a big difference in engagement!

@Paul Sirvinskas just want to clarify what you mean by asking a simple question? Directly or simple question in the feed?
Building My Community Has Taken More Effort Than I Expected — But I’m Loving It
I wanted to share a quick reflection from my own community-building journey. When I started, I honestly underestimated how much intentional effort it takes — showing up every day, engaging with people individually, creating posts that spark discussion, keeping the space clean from spam, and trying to set a tone that feels welcoming but also purposeful. It’s definitely more work than I imagined. t here’s the surprising part: I’m enjoying every bit of it. I probably wouldn’t enjoy it nearly as much if it came easy — the effort itself is part of what makes it rewarding. Every new member, every small exchange, every “aha” moment someone shares — it all feels meaningful. Watching people connect with each other and not just with me has been the most rewarding part. I’m still figuring things out, still improving, still learning what works and what doesn’t. But the process itself is energizing.

@Andrew Nelson Thanks a lot — I’ve genuinely enjoyed our exchanges. Your perspective always adds something valuable, and it’s been great learning from your experiences. Looking forward to more of it.

@Tim T For me it was realizing that feedback from others acts like a mirror — it shows angles of my thinking I just can’t see myself.
