The ancient madder silk tie involves a unique process to give it a completely different appearance. GG does a great job describing it here https://www.gentlemansgazette.com/madder-silk-explained/ I paired this brown ancient madder silk tie with my CT cotton twill in a pink French cuff (Guinness bottle caps of course for links ). Added a pair of brown wool herring bone trousers with Pendleton socks and my Cole Haan Waxhides . Then I added a 1997 MTM Royal blue blazer in a doeskin or Garnett flannel and a tan with blue and brown silk pocket square to tie it all together thought I would give some wrist time to my 1940s Ernst Borell automatic.

This outfit worked last week so the superstitious person I am will rinse and repeat.
