There are so many things as a new comer, I am overwhelmed with the amount of just names of skills on Upwork that are available. Ai is also a big contender in the market. What skills can we new comers learn to start an income to keep us afloat till we can get better at a skill which is more long term in the market and is there to stay as a requirement for a good number for years. New things keep popping up some are a hit some are a miss. But which ones are the best of them all?

Have you ever looked at an apartment complex at night time and thought that every window on each of the levels holds a story? A living story of someone living in that apartment. That thought is amazing. Allah has ways to show us so much only if we want to see. I keep looking at this building late at night and think about their storyline. New born baby, sleeping, dinner, planning a new life, up studying for tomorrow's exam, packing to leave, story time with kids, great full for the blessings, sickness, just married, missing someone, new plants in the balcony, a lady knitting on the balcony.... So many stories through each window in one big apartment complex.

There is a lot of different methods to land your first client, I am sharing one of those that worked for me when I was starting. I am Maaz, 6 years of experience and video and animation niche. Completed 2000+ projects on Fiverr and now Top rated on Upwork. 1. you made a upwork profile, and then search a very generic keyword. Like "video editing" or "adobe premire pro" or "motion graphics" depends on your niche, then see what type of job seems easy to you and has demand. 2. Once you finalize the exact niche, like instagram reels, or youtube video or explainer video or real estate video, then make 3 practice videos as a portfolio and upload them in youtube or vimeo playlist. 3. Now, wait for the right job to come and search for job once in every hour with exact keyword. as soon as you see the job fits your portfolio, start the proposal with "Hi there I have just completed similar type of video you need recently for my client, here is the link:" There is very high chance the the client will contact you. Day: Tuesday 5:15 am: Wake-up time 5:30 - 6 am: Quran Class 6:30 - 7:15 am: Strength training 7:15 - 8 am: Rest 8 am: Got ready 8:15 - 8:45 am: Breakfast 9 - 1:30 am: Study + Work + Job search 1:30 - 2:30 pm: Lunch Prep 2:30 - 4 pm: Completed Content Creation video and VSL on MMS and started assignment 4 - 5 pm: Took a nap 5 - 6 pm: Cleaning + Evening tea 6 - 9 pm: Dinner, spent time with family, random chores 9 - 11 pm - Spend some time finding VSL videos + video editing tutorial Sleep time: 11:30 pm To-do List for tomorrow: - Work on the VSL video on MMS - Watch MMS yesterday’s session  - Study/Work - Video Editing course Reflection: Getting back into my routine and staying consistent with my workouts has made me feel great. I’m really enjoying learning on Skool and attending all the live sessions. I’m learning new things every single day, and now planning to start implementing them as well. Tuesday’s journal is a bit late, but I will be posting early from tomorrow.
