We Asked the Important Question: Can Nimiq Pay Run DOOM?
As a fun experiment for the Nimiq Mini App Competition, I built NimDoom a version of DOOM running inside Nimiq Pay. It's based on the awesome nimiq-doom project, which stores the entire DOS cartridge on the Nimiq blockchain using ~48,000 transactions. Huge credit to the original project for making this possible! For NimDoom, I focused on bringing that experience into the Nimiq Pay Mini App ecosystem by adding: - 🎮 DOOM playable inside Nimiq Pay - 👛 Nimiq Pay wallet integration - 💰 Buy NIM directly from the app to "continue your adventure" 😉 - 📱 Mobile-friendly Mini App experience I don't expect this to be the winning competition entry I mostly wanted to answer one important question: Can Nimiq Pay run DOOM? Turns out... yes. Try it out and let me know what you think! 🌐 Play: https://nimminiapps.github.io/NimDoom/ 💻 NimDoom: https://github.com/NimMiniApps/NimDoom 💻 Original nimiq-doom: https://maestroi.github.io/nimiq-doom/

TipWall Update
Hi guys, it’s been a few days off building TipWall and I’m so glad to be back. Health is wealth indeed. During this short break of mine I was testing the available features of TipWall and fixing some bugs that popped up along the line and I’m almost ready to release the first phase of the TipWall site for you all to check it out and let me know what you think. Link will be dropped tomorrow. Thank you all for your support.

Hope you get well soon! 💪
Early concept demo / first look
I have an early concept demo live: https://kmiru.github.io/nimiq-safepay-zk/app/ This is not the final competition demo yet, just a first look at the general flow: Review → Verify → Pay The demo link can also be opened inside Nimiq Pay to see how the Mini App experience feels in context. SafePay does not replace Nimiq Pay. Nimiq Pay still handles the wallet, final confirmation, and transaction. The core verification flow is already working at a single-request level: the user reviews a payment request, verifies it, and the Pay button only becomes available after successful verification. Based on community feedback, I’m also refining how SafePay is presented as its own request workspace: a place where users can load, create, manage, review, approve, reject, and verify payment requests before continuing to Nimiq Pay. Feedback is welcome, especially on whether the flow feels clear and useful.

Concept is really great, I really commend you for identifying the opportunity by observing gap between the current verification and permissions systems while connecting to mini app. This app has a lot of potential to become and host other payment related apps within nimiq ecosystem. Looking forward to how it evolves into a full-fledged product!
🚀 NimPerks : On-Chain Loyalty & Viral Group Deals for Nimiq Pay
Hey Nimiq community! 👋 I’ve been working on NimPerks—a self-custodial, zero-friction loyalty and campaign platform built to run natively inside Nimiq Pay (and standard web browsers). Our goal is to give small "mom-and-pop" shops, local cafes, and retail chains a plug-and-play way to drive repeat sales, build customer habits, and run campaigns—without complex POS integrations, servers, or databases 🤩 *** ⚡ The Core Features (No Backend, Just Nimiq RPC + IndexedDB) • Auto-Detected On-Chain Stamps: No scanning separate barcodes at the register. When a customer pays a merchant address in NIM, the transaction is indexed directly from the blockchain. The app automatically calculates stamp progress! • Dual Loyalty Engine: - Perk Stamps (Progress Hexagon): Earned per qualifying transaction. Includes a Minimum Spend threshold (e.g., Min 5 NIM) to prevent transaction-splitting spam. - Volume Spend: Rewards customers based on the cumulative amount of NIM they spend at the store over time (e.g., spend 500 NIM, get a free meal). • Cryptographic QR Vouchers: Once a customer achieves their target, the app generates a cryptographic voucher payload signed by their wallet. The merchant scans the QR code to instantly verify it and burn/mark it as redeemed. • Crowdsourced Group Deals (FlashBuys): Merchants can launch viral, time-bound campaigns (e.g., "30% off coffee if 50 people join by Friday"). Customers can register interest for just 1 Luna (0.00001 NIM). If the goal is met before the expiry block, the deal unlocks for everyone who joined! • Hybrid Native/Web Architecture: Features a universal wallet adapter. It automatically runs inside standard web browsers via the Nimiq Hub API, or adapts to Nimiq Pay's native environment when launched as a Mini-App. *** 📲 Try It Right Now! (Proof of Concept) I’ve deployed the app and set up quick-launch integrations: • Inside Nimiq Pay (iOS & Android): nimiqpay://miniapp?url=https://nimperks.pages.dev/

If you're looking to test the flow as a consumer I have created a merchant ID and QR to share which doesn't require 10 compulsory stamps to unlock Perks and Group deal campaigns. I'll manually revert the transactions if anyone completes the tests 😊🤞 Edit: I've refactored most of the logic recently which has made some systems wonky. Will soon share a updated version which works inside Nimiq Pay completely (using mini-app-sdk)

@Bjorn van der Schaaf You're absolutely spot on Sir! I also love your other idea of merchants (retailers / cafes) offering Nim bonus for payments made with fiat (in current scenario case USDT), my only concern with this is: 1. How do i solve for gas fees as confirming fiat (or other crypto) payments would mean to verify the transactions made outside Nimiq ecosystem? 2. Secondly, merchants paying back (or promoting Nim adoption) by crediting customers with relevant rule equivalent NIMs via NimPerks miniapp. Let me know if I understand this correctly, rectify me if i'm confused 😅
🚀 NimFeed update feedback wanted!
NimFeed is a fully on-chain social feed for Nimiq posts, replies, follows and now tipping, all stored as transactions on the Nimiq blockchain (no backend, no database just IndexedDB + RPC). What's new: - 💸 Tip posts: with NIM send 100 / 1,000 / 10,000 / 50,000 NIM (or a custom amount) directly to any author, right from the feed - ♾️ Infinite scrol: feed loads more posts automatically as you scroll - 🔁 Reply & Follow now work inside Nimiq Pay too Try it in Nimiq Pay: nimiqpay://miniapp?url=https://maestroi.github.io/NimFeed/ Put following URL in discovery: https://maestroi.github.io/NimFeed/ Or open in your browser: https://maestroi.github.io/NimFeed/ Would love to hear what you think bugs, ideas, anything! 🙏

Love the unique take to have a self containing social media app on-chain, my main concerns apart from the ones raised above is : The blockchain bloat, which could happen once the snowball effect starts rolling of posts and comments. How can this be tackled as I'm facing similar conundrum with one of my ideas?
