Today I had the privilege of teaching my friends granddaughter how to bead her first bracelet! It was so much fun and she absolutely loves the result and I think I’ve created a lifetime beader! She’s only 10 years old and this was her first attempt at bead weaving. I think she did pretty well.

I finished this on Friday, it’s called the Maytime Button Cuff by Danielle Wickes it’s a collaboration with Beadshop.com. It was fun to make and I made it too long,it’s too wide to be a wrap, I’ll probably shorten it later!

I'm currently making the components for Celestial, an online class by Jean Power. I love Jean's projects. They are often challenging but always great fun.

Well, I need to take a break for the next two weeks on this particular project, although I will be bringing my Beading bag along with me to California to stay with our granddaughter. I wanted to give you all an update since you’ve been so kind to me with this project which I greatly appreciate! I’ve learned so much, and mostly. Realize what I’ve done wrong with the project, and can correct it for the next time. For example, I know that I need to adjust the pattern on both sides to make it fit. I also know that I need more practice with the clasp, and that I did not properly center the part that the clasp attaches to, But I’m proud of myself for sticking with it and will get it right next time!
