โ€œStand tall like a mountain, flow like a great river and learn to play with gravity.โ€
The first part of this statement is a classical saying associated with Tai Ji while the addition of โ€œlearn to play with gravityโ€ is something my teacher in Beijing, Zhang Wei Dong, would add. He never said whether it was his own or something he heard from somewhere else, but to me it always fit perfectly with the classical phrase. Does this statement resonate or inspire you? Does it make you think of any particular part of your practice? I will get started first below in the comments!

It makes me think of grounding and allowing flow to happen. No me. No you. Just getting out of the way and allowing the good stuff to be.

@Joshua Harris So nicely put
Restarting challenge
Completed 7 day challenge but restarting again, as each day I have learnt something which makes me think 'I didn't appreciate that fully on that day'. In short I am learning and my practice will always be in the form of going around in circle. Enjoying each dip into the classroom and excited to continue

I LEARNED TO DANCE AGAIN !!!!
I was asked ,, What was the turning point in my Practices ,,, What caused the Change !?!? The answer ,,, I LEARNED TO DANCE AGAIN !! I HAD FUN ,,, I QUIT EXPECTING ,, DEMANDING PERFECT FORM !!! DON'T RESIST ,, DON'T INSIST !! I QUIT LOOKING AT THE CLOCK !! RELAX INTO THE FLOW ,, RELAX INTO THE STANCE ,, LET THE BREATH AND THE MOVEMENTS BE ONE !!! I LISTENED TO THE TEACHER ,, I FOLLOWED SONNY'S INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT JUDGMENT ,, I BECAME A STUDENT AGAIN !! I LEARNED TO DANCE AGAIN !!!

Letting go of expectations. Letting go of "Should do's" Letting go of "Ought to's" Just letting go can be such a powerful force. Thanks for reminding me @David Ervin

@Arsenia Rodriguez "But NOT ANYMORE" - Love it!
Great Practice!!
I'm able to remember each step and the arm movements associated with each movement! It felt awesome to flow through gently instead of continuously stopping. I can't say that I am able to do it on my own without watching Sonny but I can now follow Sonny through one whole segment! I gained some confidence this morning! I will continue to practice through this class again today until I can visualize it on my own! Power on Friends, we can do this!! ๐Ÿ•ด๏ธ๐Ÿคบ

@Laura Jeffreys This is so good to hear. My experience is practicing on my own opens up a new experience. I'm able to practice wherever I want as I don't need a PC or phone. The qigong/tai chi experience gets so much deeper because I don't need to share my focus on the screen and myself. I find this deepens the practice so much. I get more awareness of my body, the mind tends to be quieter and I can truly let go and allow the chi to do its thing.
