Tipping point moment...new Wall Street Journal article on ADHD medication
Team, This Wall Street Journal article represents a tipping point moment in the battle for education before medication. I'm writing a long post/article on this tomorrow and recording a full podcast on the rise of the ADHD industry on Wednesday. I truly believe we'll look back at the mass diagnosis of our children as a moment of cultural hysteria with irreparable impact on the physical and psychological development of a generation. It only takes a small group of dedicated individuals to shift the course of history. I appreciate everyone who has demonstrated their leadership in this fight this year. Very much looking forward to amplifying our impact through our affiliate model and supporting @Sue Murphy @Nikki Trusca and those of you who I've been in discussions with regarding official affiliation as we build the health optimization businesses of the future and create an empowering, science-based alternative to the mass medication of a generation. https://www.wsj.com/health/wellness/kids-adhd-drugs-medication-06dfa0b7?gaa_at=eafs&gaa_n=AWEtsqfB3jxfIFezHf0sxPWCeOccJTl377jnf-k8N4GVzHhQCstOktICp63C&gaa_ts=69206ed8&gaa_sig=GBLu5cxAwp5_xf2yElCjkWnVnCDVGuMRdwfa9U23SZN563jYw_-mNNxXARFmtzXuc8GHWkcGADuy1VdldBvB-A%3D%3D

We are dealing with this at our Apogee campus. The mother of a 5 year old boy is adamant that he be medicated because he “can’t sit still”. The father says “yeah he’s a boy, Good”. They have given us 10 pages of forms to submit to the psychiatrist, pigeon holing this young leader into 4 categories, agree, disagree, sometimes, never. We totally believe the choice to medicate is up to the parents, but strongly disagree with drugging a 5 year old into a comatose state. It is very heavy on our chest and we will continue to gracefully support their son!
New Physiology First app! Breathing tracks all in one place🙌
Team, I just created a simple app for us that has all of the Breathe to Perform audios in one place! This project came from conversations with @Nikki Trusca and a message thread between @Rachel Campling and @Cindy T. De Bonis . Many people have been asking for the top secret breathing tracks we created🕵️‍♂️ Excited to hear which is your favorite! I only have the 3 minute versions loaded so far. This app can serve to direct business to @Sue Murphy and @Nikki Trusca -our affiliates in N.J and N.H as well as our Manchester and upcoming London locations. We can potentially build it out to be a fully functional Physiology First app....although a part of me wonders if separate apps for the Youth Health Assessment and other elements of the program is best for clarity's sake and easy to understand functionality. This is definitely a work in progress so please give your feedback and suggestions! In the meantime I hope it makes it easier to fit in 3 minute breathing sessions into your day and share what we do with others in a way they can experience🙌 https://breathe-perform-physiologyfirst.replit.app/about

So cool! 🔥
Deep Dive returns tomorrow! School implementation of Physiology First
Team, My apologies for the radio silence-the trip back to the U.S starting off with an extreme case of COVID kicked my butt. Back in London feeling very inspired after visiting @Nikki Trusca and @Stephen Alberini our newest affiliates in Littleton, New Hampshire. I had the honor of attending a community meeting with Nikki and Stephen and can tell you that their community is SO READY for the Physiology First Approach. The passion to support the mental and physical health of kids was on full display from all in attendance, and the excitement about Nikki and Stephen/s pilot version of Student Strong kicking off in the community was evident from all in attendance. This is our time to shift the paradigm of health for the next generation, and I'm incredibly grateful to our affiliates for leading the charge from the front lines of the health revolution! Our Deep Dives return tomorrow at 3pm EST and 3pm UK! We'll have a "where do we go from here" focused meeting convening implementation strategies for bringing Physiology First to schools, our new coaching certification (for those interested in going deeper into biomechanics and exercise programming) and the affiliate model itself. Appreciate you all immensely and can't wait to see you tomorrow to drive the evolution forward! David Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89198624400

I must have gotten the same thing! I’m on day 23 and am finally not coughing. Daily sauna sessions were the only way I could open my sinuses enough to breathe!
Welcoming Nikki and Steve to our affiliate program!
Team, I'm beyond honored to welcome @Nikki Trusca and Steve to our Physiology First Affiliate Program. This program will allow us to create a necessary 4th space between the hierarchical health industry, the mental health industry, and the world of generic, one size fits all fitness. By leveraging the latest health technology and fostering peer to peer learning and expert guidance based on data based observations our affiliates will usher in a new era of health education and health optimization for a generation. The future of health is ours to shape, foster, and nurture together. I'm truly proud for pioneers like Nikki and Steve who are bringing this future to life, and for everyone on the Physiology First Team who believes in our mission to create a health revolution for the next generation 🧠🔥 Looking forward to sharing pics, videos and updates from Nikki and Steve's facility when I visit at the end of the month to help put the affiliate system into place! Looking forward to creating the evolution of health together Nikki and Steve! And with every member of the Physiology First Team who puts their time and energy into bringing the science of health and human potential to life.

This
Team, A series of articles are coming out regarding the rapidly declining health of our next generation. As the health and fitness world continues to ignore the health of our future leaders in favor of fads, trends, and the allure of Instagram fame, I want to THANK YOU all for being leaders in this fight🔥🥊 This is our job. We are the health industry. If kids are getting sicker, more depressed, and more likely to take their own lives every year, it's on us to be the force that moves the mountain. Appreciate you all immensely, and looking forward to moving the mountain and shifting the paradigm of health for our next generation, together.

This is so important! I’ve always had an aversion to taking meds to relieve a fever or swelling from an acute injury. In my adult life, I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I’ve taking pain meds to quell a sickness. My grandparents always said “let your body do what the body does”. Without any data to back them up, they knew what felt right for the body was the best decision for the body. My daughter healed in 7 days from a tonsillectomy using fluids and rest. The prescribed treatment was Tylenol and ibuprofen every 3-4 hours for 2 days then “taper off” to every 6-8 hours! We did not start this treatment because of the dye in the meds. Little did I know that she responded better to rest, sunlight, fresh air, and fluids than the average recovery time we have heard from other kids’ experiences. To be clear, I am NOT bashing prescribed protocols or suggesting anyone use these methods, but in our personal experience, we are taking each situation and individually deciding what is best for our family.
