Hey Deborah! Great question. It can definitely be tricky in the beginning. I have found Canva to be the most helpful because of the templates that they provide! Everything is pre-built; all you have to do is change the wording/background, etc. Now I see you mentioned "content structure and visual organization." Honestly, I believe, once you pick a template, it is worth the time to add your own touch. It will do a couple of things 1) Give you practice, the more you do it, the faster you will get 2) You will have more control over your structure, which will make presenting easier. Once you have a finished slide deck, you will forever have your own base template you can use anywhere The last thing to keep in mind is "PERFECT IS THE ENEMY OF DONE".
