Today's achievement
It took a lot of head shaking. And chasing my balls all over the yard. But I have reverse cascade figured out finally and I think I have windmill but I need to record myself in order to be sure. Also get my left hand in order for "the W" today was a big day!

Hi, are tennis balls good for juggling?

Everybody has already answered, but if you can handle the weight, lacrosse balls feel great! The weight is significantly more than typical juggling balls based on what ive found online. But, if you're someone that can do 20 push ups in a row, you'll be fine and the weight offers control, at least in my brief experience. I dont have actually juggling balls so I will tell you what I have used and how they feel. Foam pickleballs- too light Its hard to get a sense of comfort because, the balls feel like they aren't there. Racquetteballs- a little better These weight a little more than the foam pickleball. These are great for simple claymotion tricks, I use these for flow training. Just something that you can roll back and forth in your hands to practice dexterity. Once you start tossing them, they become inconsistent and you will be chasing them as they bounce seemingly forever. Lol Rolled up socks, empty- not great Same problem, too light, also odd shaped. pros: if you drop them, they dont roll away. They are near silent when you drop them. Perfect for late night indoor practiceif you have room mates or children. Socks with plastic Airsoft BBs Or rice or beans. - goodish Theres two versions of this. One version is a complete long sock measured with a weight of BBs that is comfortable for you, fill the toe, then twist and roll back on itself, twist, roll back, twist, roll back, until the sock is used up. This will give you a lumpy ball about the size of a tennis ball, with a comfortable weight because you decided on it. The other option is the same idea. Mesure your weight of BBs and fill the toe of a sock. Rubber band it tight (double up the rubber bands to avoid a mess) then cut off the excess. depending on the type of sock, this can be a little too soft and shape shifty. But for practicing claymotion and quick passes back and forth, these are great, the sound offers a satisfying response to your efforts. But if you are using strechy socks, the stretch will make them hard to hold onto sometimes. Flowing through your grip like a liquid almost.
My awkward pin attempt
I saw a bunch of traveling jugglers at a traffic light juggling for tips so when they were between performances I came up to one of then and asked in if I could try the pins, and told him I can juggle balls but I wanted to try the pins. So I tried throwing one for a few throws, dropped it a few times, then with two and finally I tried three. Dropped all of them... The guy was silent the whole time looking the other way awkwardly. To make it even more awkward I was trying to say something to him in English since they we're obviously foreign but the dude didn't understand one bit.

Thats pretty cool that he let you check them out. I had the same thought recently when I saw some people juggling pins at a park. But I didn't end up asking.
