My awkward pin attempt
I saw a bunch of traveling jugglers at a traffic light juggling for tips so when they were between performances I came up to one of then and asked in if I could try the pins, and told him I can juggle balls but I wanted to try the pins. So I tried throwing one for a few throws, dropped it a few times, then with two and finally I tried three. Dropped all of them... The guy was silent the whole time looking the other way awkwardly. To make it even more awkward I was trying to say something to him in English since they we're obviously foreign but the dude didn't understand one bit.

@Adam Nelson don't feel awkward to ask. Even if it feels embarrassing in the moment, you'll just laugh about it later.

@Luke Lemieux yes, definitely some time in the future.
How good should I get at a certain pattern before moving on to the next one?
Hello everyone! This is my first time posting. I put the question in the tittle but here's a bit more info. I'm currently practicing half box, and I can keep it going for a few throws, it's not perfect of course and really smooth but I kind of don't feel like wanting to master it. I'd like to try other stuff. So what are your tips on when to try and advance to a different pattern? Is it a certain number of throws or general smoothness and flow, or something else?
