Dad Joke explanation
The Joke: Why did the guy get fired from the calendar factory? He took a day off. Why it’s funny: It’s a play on words! Normally, "taking a day off" means you didn't go to work. But in a calendar factory, if you "take a day off," you literally remove a date from the calendar! He wasn't lazy; he was just ruining the product! LOL

🇺🇸 English Expressions: Cut Someone Loose ✂️
Hey everyone! 👋 Today’s expression is “cut someone loose.” 👉 It means ending ties with someone, letting someone go, or breaking up with them. It’s used when you release or dismiss someone, often with a sense of finality or moving on. Origin: This comes from the literal idea of untying or releasing something that’s bound. Over time, it became a metaphor for ending someone’s connection or obligation. Examples: • He decided it was time to cut her loose after all the drama. 😬 • The company had to cut him loose due to budget cuts. 💼 • Sometimes you just have to cut someone loose to move forward. 🌟 Figurative daily-life examples: • She wasn’t contributing to the group project, so we cut her loose. 📝 • I had to cut loose a few old habits that weren’t working. 💡 • They cut him loose from the committee after he moved away. 🏠 Now it’s your turn! 💬 Drop your own sentence using “cut someone loose” below 👇 WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER! 🤝
