You can estimate and later upload a short explanation letter saying your family doesn’t file taxes or works informally. 5️⃣ Review everything carefully, submit, and pay the small fee, or request a fee waiver inside the system if your family can’t afford it. You can get a fee waiver for the CSS by emailing the university’s financial aid office and politely asking if they can grant a CSS Profile fee waiver or provide an alternative financial aid form for international students (most universities will give you the fee waiver).
