FIRE - Hi Scott. I lived in Malibu for two big fires, and San Diego for a few more. I am a huge believer in fire mitigation and would love to hear how you are blowing it up.

@Scott Fellhoelter With HOAs losing insurance, this must be a big help--even if they don't get their insurance back, they can reduce risk dramatically.
Advice please! - Marketing blitz this saturday
Me and pops are renting a Bobcat T770 with Fecon head this saturday. We have 4 friends that we will be clearing brush for FREE (about an hour of work at each), in exchange for reviews, video interviews, and as much footage as we can get. We plan to shoot as many different video ad variations that we can get (me, my dad, different backgrounds, different apparel, different messages, etc) in order to stock up enough footage to last through the winter and be able to put up fresh ads. But we also intend to capture as much footage as possible for posting through the winter. PLEASE DUMP ALL THE IDEAS/ADVICE YOU HAVE FOR ME ON WHAT TYPE OF CONTENT WE SHOULD BE AIMING FOR. Here is the setup: -1 operator (my dad) -2 camera operators (me and my friend) -1 drone with 4k (can only fly for 20 minutes at a time) -1 hi-res Cannon camera w/ tripod -3 iPhones for shooting content The obvious ideas so far: -timelapse -before/after photos -post-job interviews with customer -drone before/after photos -drone footage of machine mulching -footage of loading/unloading the machine from the trailer -footage of pre-job site walk with customer -ad footage with machine working in the background WHAT AM I MISSING HERE? WHAT WOULD YOU DO??

Hi Justin, I'm getting ready to do same to bank up some video and photos. Would love to hear how it went and if you have any post-blitz thoughts.

@Justin Craig Rabidoux Thank you. I probably would have thought 2 people would be enough, but a 3rd makes sense so I appreciate that tip! I saw a video today of a mulcher working down a hill at a diagonal, from a ways back that was very impressive, as far as angle and impact.
Starting out full time and would love advice!
Hey everybody! I'm Jordan and I own Pax Land Works here in Tulsa Oklahoma. I started doing this stuff on the side when I had a full time job but was recently let go and now am going hard at it full time. I don't own any equipment yet and am just renting but would absolutely love some advice on how to pursue this the right way and get to that $10-$20k a month range. I've been doing this stuff and operating for 11 years so I have that experience under my belt, just not a lot of business experience. I have some videos I'm going to be posting on all my socials and have some ads in the works but if anyone has been in my position and could throw me some advice, I would love it. Thank you. PS I'll post some pics in the comments of this because I don't have the pics on this computer.. lol.

Hey Jordan, I wanted to say hello and make a connection. We are nearly neighbors, both being in Tulsa and wanted to reach out as a collaborator more than competitor and potential resource if you even need anything.

Start Here: Your $20k Month Game Plan (Watch This)
If you own a land clearing / forestry mulching business and you’re under $20k/month, start here. In July, 12 operators we work with booked $585,000 of work using this playbook. This group shows you how to run the same system. Do this in order: 1. Watch the Start Here video Then come back to this post. 2. Introduce yourself in the comments Copy/paste and fill in: Name City / State Machines Current monthly revenue 12‑month target Biggest bottleneck (pricing, leads, closing, schedule, or crew) 3. Do the Pricing Blueprint Workshop Go to Classroom → Start Here → Pricing Blueprint Workshop Watch “Stop Losing Money On Jobs” Fill out the worksheet under the video Then comment your numbers: “Crew day rate: $, Minimum job: $” 4. Watch 2–3 case studies Still in Classroom, open Case Studies Watch 2–3 that look most like you 5. Start the Kickstarter Mini Training Go to Classroom → Kickstarter Mini Training Work through the modules in order If you already own a real machine and want the exact playbook guys like JT used to hit $172,500 in July, Colby used to hit his first $200k month, and Hayden used to hit $85k first month after getting his machine, then: Book Your OPS Game Plan Call here and we'll map out a plan for your market

Darcy Logan Greater Tulsa area, Oklahoma Equipment: 72” hi-flo forestry mulcher, and a 58” lo-flo mulching head, plan to rent skid steer initially. (We happened to find a great deal on a couple new mulchers so we bought those – the heavier hi-flo machine will require a new truck and trailer, so just using the 58” now until we verify the market.) We also have a John Deer 5075E & Rhino TS12 brushhog. First Job: Still in the “Will work for photos and ***** Google Reviews” phase before we implement our crew-day rate minimum. We’ve had a few small brush hogging jobs but I’m not counting those. Priority right now are photos and videos for advertising - we’ve got 5 friends lined up for some free work for photos and reviews next week. 12‑month target: $250k Biggest bottleneck: Authentic advertising up and running - getting material for ads and "talking head" videos and learning video editing apps. Just getting GBP verified felt like an accomplishment! lol What a hassle. Edited to say -- The market research is holding me back right now – hard to jump in when it seems the market looks more like side- and weekend-hustle volume. (The Tulsa Neilson DMA market area, which is a larger area than a realistic service area, covering most of mid-to-northeastern Oklahoma and into Kansas, shows google keyword research show a combined keyword search of less than 400 monthly searches, averaging about 10 searches a month for each of the keywords (forestry mulching, land clearing, brush cutting, cedar removal, etc) and mangools is showing 80 a month for all total, with 8-10 a month individually.) -- I'm trying not to be a Debbie Downer or opposite, just judge realistically. What I've heard from Austin and Jacob is fresher content works better in limited markets, but I'm not sure if this market is too limited. Any insights welcome. :)
