Over the past two days, ~90 new members joined Daily Email House. Everyone who joined had to answer a few questions, including "What's your #1 goal right now?" Roughly equal numbers of people had answers that fell into LIST GROWTH and MONETIZATION categories. We gotta start this group on some first mission. So let's tackle the topic of MONETIZATION first. The reason why I choose MONETIZATION over LIST GROWTH is blindingly obvious, but that makes it no less true: When you can make $1k from 10 subscribers, growing your list to 1,000 or 10,000 subscribers becomes much easier. When you can make good money even from a small list, then: - You are more motivated to go out and network and get on podcasts and pump out content to get more subscribers - You can afford to pay for ads - You can find partners who will happily tell their audience about you, in exchange for a cut of that good money that you're making Plus, thinking about list monetization first, and how you could possibly make $1k from just 10 subscribers, will make it more likely you go into a market that has money to spend, and to go after the "maverick" segment of that market.
