Proactive Adventure Packets Available on DriveThruRPG!
Find Them Here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher/33927/game-master-s-laboratory I've been hard at work on our Proactive Packets---adventure materials specifically made for proactive roleplaying. Before, they've only been available to our Gold members, but some folks wanted the packets without a full membership, and others just wanted a specific packet, so we've made them available there for five bucks apiece (of which we see 60%). If you wanna see what these are like, you can find a free first packet in the Classroom tab. Right now, there are three available, and they're all factions, but we've got a location packet coming next month and some other exciting projects down the line. The best way to get all or multiple packets or support us directly is still to sign up for Gold, since that opens up the full backlog for download, but if you want to show support in another way or pick out some specific packets a la carte, DriveThruRPG is a good option! If you do grab them there, consider leaving us a rating (or even better, a review)---in a smaller space like the TRPG scene, even one comment or rating really does make a huge difference. These are getting a lot more refined as we keep working at them, so you can look forward to more maps, art, and useful materials as we go on (especially starting next month!) and in the future. I hope some of you get some use out of them :)

Awesome, the preview packet here is really cool I just started looking through it the other day!
Productivity Hour Survey
(this is in reference to https://www.skool.com/game-masters-laboratory/productivity-hour-aka-body-doubling?p=57536ea8) I've got a survey out to see if we can find a time for the Productivity Accountability Hour that works for a multiple number of people. If you're interested in the Productivity Hour, please go indicate your general availability at https://www.when2meet.com/?36132815-O46RO The system as two limitations: it's binary (you're either available or your not); the time zone is EST, so you're going to need to do your own math.

@Alex Newman oh yeah not at all! Thank you! With some notice I can be more flexible too so I could probably be free many other times as well, thanks again for suggesting this!
Productivity Hour (aka Body Doubling)?
[UPDATE: there's a survey out to see if we can find a time for the Productivity Accountability Hour that works for a multiple number of people. If you're interested in the Productivity Hour, please go indicate your general availability at https://www.when2meet.com/?36132815-O46RO The system as two limitations: it's binary (you're either available or your not); the time zone is EST, so you're going to need to do your own math.] I enjoy @Jonah Fishel 's Coffee Talks on Friday, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in finding a time to do a shared hour of focused work. When I've done them in the past, they work this way: everyone jumps on a call/meeting and briefly introduces themselves, their project, and what specifically they're hoping to accomplish in the next hour (so rather than "prep for my next session" it might be something like "create 3 forest encounters for my next session"; rather than "work on the TTRPG I'm writing" it might be "edit the section on ranged combat in the TTRPG I'm writing"). At the end of the hour, we all meet up again, talk about whether we achieved our goal or not, and what obstacles came up -- and maybe ask for help in overcoming the challenges if that seems appropriate. I'm East Coast USA, but would be willing to do this in my afternoon if there were a bunch of folks in Europe who were interested. I also might be in interested in doing it in an evening, but I feel like a lot of us already have evening commitments. If you're interested, drop a comment below with some general availability preferences.

I would try it out if I can make it!
How my first campaign is starting off
Essentially the adventuring crew defeated a blue wyrmling helping to prevent it from completing a ritual to gain dangerous ancestral power. They obtained dragon scales, skin, and blood from dragons. Our warlock particularly interested in the blood. In this chaos, an old powerful looking wizard crashes into the observatory the crew is in. When things settled down, Ebeneezer introduced himself as coming from a different time period and possibly parallel timeline-is holding a time staff. Says that Moander (evil deity) has a small but growing following, however he has some defectors and there are rumors there was another time period where he was imprisoned/robbed of his powers somehow. Ebeneezer asks adventurers to join him there to fight Moander amongst other things as there are so many competing factions where he comes from it’s hard to know who to trust. It is explained that Blepp took on a caricature type of persona to gain intel from the adventurers and assess them. Moander (the patron) is striking our Warlock with psychic damage throughout this conversation. There was some explanation of time travel and using the time staff, that it had almost run out of magical energy and had to be restored at this specific celestial event. Ganzon (sorcerer) asked if they couldn’t just come back to this specific event to recharge it if they need to, this was discussed as a possibility but also that they had already done this so may not be possible. Ebeneezer tells the crew there are many powerful magic items from the time period and parallel timeline he is from, centering on the large island state of Aeridor. Also shares he has defected from The Trust of the Song, the group that is after Al (wizard) for sword training. Al asks repeatedly about finding dinosaurs and Ebeneezer hesitantly shares that there are mutant psychic dinos on Aeridor that are used in fighting rings but also other ways, he is hesitant to share more. The group agrees to work as a team and go with Ebeneezer to Aeridor with Blepp, it is also revealed his real name is Plebb. Plebb offers a weak apology for hiding his true identity. The group allows Ebeneezer to transport them to Aeridor at his home base.

@Eric Person thank you for this, I've never sat at a table with a warlock and it's on my list to explore the class more, the player is very creative and invested in this storyline so that's helpful, thanks again!
Accountability Post
Hey folks, Like most Accountability Posts this is a bit of a Humblebrag. I have a lot going on and I believe the meme tells you all you need to know about how my brain works. Like many of us, I get super-excited about something and drop everything I can to work on that...until the next cool thing comes along. Fortunately/unfortunately for me, my brain sees a lot of opportunities and creates a lot of exciting ideas. What tools and techniques do you all use to both manage your time and to prevent the shiny new thing from keeping you from finishing the shiny but slightly less new thing? My list will give you some idea of the differing scales and timelines for my projects and commitments -- and that doesn't stop me from looking for/creating new thing... **Short Term, with Deadlines:** - Prep for my bi-weekly Old Gods of Appalachia Role-Playing Game (Unofficial) on Startplaying; post notes in @Jonah Fishel's follow-up question from Friday's coffee convo - Appear on ZealZaddy's Paperbag TTRPG Gameshow (dress/tech: April 7; 1st live: April 21) - Play Blades in the Dark (Wednesdays in April) - Charity game of "Eat the Reich" on Friday, April 17 (Session 0 on Tuesday 4/14) - Finish the *new* adventure I'm running at Concoction (May 29) - Refresh the other games I'm running there; refresh my classes - book my flight to GenCon; find a roommate for the con. - finish enough of the Cypher supplement I'm writing to give away a preview of it on Free RPG Day (June 27) - edit the interview with Jayson Elliot about ModCon (ModCon is May30) **Short term, no deadlines:** - put an Eat the Reich adventure up on Startplaying - Ad hoc "Expanse" for Rachel Savicki - Schedule teaching sessions for Cypher System Gaming and Old Gods of Appalachia on StartPlaying - contact a couple of local gaming stores about scheduling one-shots - Reach out to Phil Wert and Ron Meischker about how I can help with P.A.G.E. - more content for video channel **Medium term, with deadlines:**

@Alex Newman getting things done is a system name by David Allen that I think has been helpful to me in maintaining interest with long term projects: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getting_Things_Done There's tons of free info and worksheets out there, unless you're already familiar with it and that's what you were referring to lol!
