https://www.skool.com/roast-promote-5332/about I really like how this community is growing, how much fun I'm getting, how engaged it is and the fact that I got almost 20 members paying. All in just 3 months. It's a success in my eyes! But one thing is bothering me. Conversion Rate is 8%. A lot of people are looking at it, and are not joining. I see a lot of people saying they know me from being around everywhere on Skool but won't join. I know that getting roasted is not for everyone and some people are too serious for my silly branding. So it's not for everyone. But conversion being so low means I could be growing faster. So burn me with your hottest roasts!

@Paulo Costa, The Roaster @Gus Gray agreed good tactic. jus make sure you lead them to a CTA and leave them wanting your service or they get confused
⛳ Sell without selling
This is a pitching exercise. Check all the others here. You can engage with them anytime. Imagine you're a pro salesman, going on a golf club full of rich people, trying to network and get them to hire you. You won't just come shouting what you do. You will develop small talk, say something personal, something interesting about you. Ask questions, let them talk about themselves. Let them complain about a problem that you can solve. Only after they gain your trust, you talk about what you do. And you make them think that it was their idea to hire you to solve their problems. How would you start that conversation? Asking a question? Sharing some fact that starts a conversation about a problem you can solve? Do that here. Try to start a conversation that can lead you to talk about what you do and make people want to keep talking to you about it. I'll engage with it like I'm your ideal client.

My soft CTA promo...
I've written my first draft (which I'm pretty happy with so far) I'd love to know your guys thoughts... And any GIF suggestions are welcome haha This is a soft CTA to just open a dialogue with people, no crazy "join my community" just a little brand awareness. We've recently been talking about elevator pitches in my community calls and I set this challenge as "homework" It's to incorporate a personal touch and story into a promo post. So I'm practicing what I preach and doing my own homework. Title: "From the stage shows to brand colours and personal brand building… " Main Copy: "My passion changed from speaking in front of crowds of 6000 people to learning marketing and helping others promote their businesses. Now as a marketing strategy and consultant I help businesses figure out their messaging, how to build their brand and what they need to do to get leads and become masters of their own marketing. Before all of that I was an entertainer on cruise ships hosting show’s, gameshows, cheesy line dances, Bingo and I’ve been everything from all members of the village people to the Jackson 5 and Frankie Valley and the four seasons. Through being a presenter and public speaking and a face-to-face customer service representative, I’ve handled many situations you couldn’t even believe. This communication skillset helped me adapt to the marketing space to know what people want and how businesses can get their message across to their audience. With my on stage and customer led mindset and my skills with Marketing fundamentals you’ll always be in safe hands. I’m always happy to chat, be it travel around the world or how we can work together to help your marketing efforts."

I thought your entertainer past was intriguing, and how it made you narrow down to marketing. I like to see your elevator pitch written in chronological order. Its like turning that fun fact into your journey Something like “did you know i was an entertainer? Thats how i noticed i love speaking in crowds and my inspiration from X made me a marketer that i wake up everyday for” All preference of course, i just wrote this off the cuff.
