Some help needed to interpret
@Arjun Sabharwal Sir my latest numbers May Creatinine: 2.2 June 20 Creatinine: 2.0 July 15 Creatinine: 1.77 Uric acid 9.6 May Uric acid 9.4 Jun Uric acid 7.8 July Potassium 5.0 May Potassium 4.4 June Potassium 3.49 July What to interpret? But Blood reports are terrible, on ultrasound Spleen is enlarged. HB 10.8, WBC 4.0 ( 4-11) range, RBC 3.45 ( 4.5-5.5) range Can recurrent uti or bacterial infection ( causing sepsis) can damn the blood reports ? I have uti at the moment because of cic. The difference is since last 5 days I did cic, and I am on Mirabegron 50 mg, Tamsulosin 0.2 mg. This wasn't the case for last 8 months since the problem was openly detected.

@Tanya Chadha it depends on cause, I do have ckd but my CKD is not due to Kidney's own fault. It is Neuro Injury in Spine leading to bladder dysfunction. Basically same spasticity that I have in legs is in bladder, that bladder spasm intermittently creates high voiding pressure affecting Kidneys. My problem is because of negligence for 16 yrs. If I had known this bladder problem before, no CKD would have developed. Technically: Obstructive Uropathy/Nephropathy. CKD primary 95 pct causes are Blood pressure high, Diabetes, Auto immune Kidney disease. I have none of those. My bp is normal or low to normal, diabetes ( hba1c is consistently close to 4.6-4.7 ), I don't have IgA, FSGS. Whole point it depends on "CAUSE", my case is Mechanical problem. Still my numbers won't return to normal, because some decent damage definitely has happened. It would just settle around my exact "unknown" baseline after reversible factors. That baseline we don't know, but fortunately should be cleared in next 6 months. This is what Urologist told me. Suggestion: Clean diet, realising you have a problem, have regular follow up with Nephrologists and don't skip periodic lab test as advised by Nephrologist.
Future
Only if these big people started research on kidney cure.

@Sivaji Saha Sir, there are few things which are left untouched. Nephrons demise is cell death, which also happens with aging and same for loss of Neurons again with aging. Neurons death in SCI patient, can be considered as sign of fast aging of cells, same for Nephrons death in Kidney patient. Both are lost naturally with aging.

@Sivaji Saha Sir, scientific development takes place with competition. It will happen when China decides to change status quo. Remember the race to the moon between USSR and USA in 1960s and 70s. Post decline of USSR, Americans didn't started a single manned moon mission in 90s, 2000s. Now, Trump is restarting Moon mission, why ? Again China. Point is Competition, best bet is China does something new to force USA to try extra resulting in change of status quo in complicated fields of Nephrology and Neurology. I don't expect anything to come out from India.

Dialysis patients should not try these stunts of Ayurveda / Homeopathy. All this good in Early stage when kidney function is adequate or close to normal. Such case occurs because medical science has been pathetic in giving permanent solution of Kidney problems.

@Raj Kumar Sir, you are spot on. All these Ayurveda stunts ok if numbers are normal. Once crossed 1.3 creatinine, should not be tried. The only herb that I carry some respect is Astralagus Root Extract ( it is part of Chinese Traditional Medicine), again the help in kidney very exaggerated based on limited data. But it does help in raising WBC, I suspect based on use ( not sure).
N Acetylcysteine
@Arjun Sabharwal Sir, is N acetylcysteine ok for CKD 3 ? Like upto 600 mg daily. I read it has some Neuro protective properties. The only thing I am not sure can it interfere with Serum Creatinine test. I read it does give false assurance of creatinine decrease and can interfere with test.

@Arjun Sabharwal I have one question, is Indian Spinal Injury Centre good for Neurogenic Bladder? They have separate Neuro-Urology department because I don't think Artemis can treat my case. Many of them aren't updated with latest developments in Neuro Urology. My all case are connected to OG Spinal Injury

@Arjun Sabharwal yes, sir because the founder of ISIC was himself an SCI patient, Major HPS Ahluwalia ( Retd). So, I do expect them to have less corporate behaviour and more patient centric/priority approach
People doing Self Clean Intermittent Catheterization
Anyone in the Club who has been doing Self Clean Intermittent Catheterization to empty Bladder? What problems do you face ? I would like to connect.

@Arjun Sabharwal Sir, they don't help. They don't even recommend or help patient in getting hydrophilic catheteer. With DSD, I can't do CIC through pvc catheteer. There is spasm at Sphincter muscle.
