Accesorizing
Very casual day today alone with my boy and i don't have to juggle much. This is a heavily repeated combo for me in the cold cold weather skim mixing it up with a scarf too. The winter really zap a my hair quickly and i find i rely very heavily on it to feel great when i have fewer tools to play with in the cold. Trying to remember my accessories in my arsenal today. šŸ’•

I am back in black again (honestly, I do love it), but I put my sweatshirt over my shoulder so that you can see that I WILL have color on when I go outside (plus, don’t you love the slippers ;)). Although this t-shirt does not have a lower neckline, which is ideal for me, it does hit me right at the waist, which I like. My joggers are high waisted. I’m really trying to merge style and lifestyle (today is work, walking, and lifting weights).

I like the cap sleeve with the slightly bulkier joggers. Even more accentuates your curves. ā¤

@Alexi Sherrill @Sarah Ryan yes, i would like to hear more on translating style personality in different elements of everyday life versus "getting dressed up".

I bought this dress here last year snd love how the material is hugging my body. Really such an amazing material that you can hardly feel. But even if we had the weather I’d be very reluctant to wear it in Ireland. Can’t explain why? It’s not really dressy but feels too much for casual.

My vote is to just not care that others might view you as "too dressed". I bet if you push through that initial discomfort, what you perceive as your baseline will feel all to natural to worry about what anyone else thinks. Always easier said than done, but it starts with just being sure to get those wears in. ā¤
Selfie 5- advice please
I went to buy some walking trousers today ( I’m not on a no buy but I don’t think walking trousers count anyway!) so here I am in the changing rooms. I have this skirt and I really like the shape but it seems easier to style in the summer with a fitted t shirt. Then it gives a fit and flare look. I like it with my coat on but how to wear my sweater? I was watching a YouTuber whose style I like and she was saying she felt like an extra from Fiddler on the Roof trying to style a similar skirt. I absolutely get that šŸ˜‚. I tried tucking it in- I don’t think that looks right- and with a belt. Still not sure. Is it the boots? Should I just leave it till summer? Or maybe it’s just not right for me? T shirt and cardi? What do you think?

My thought process was the same as Sarah's. The exposed waistband needs to sit higher and the belt over the sweater is super cute! Not sure if this helps, but when i tuck a sweater into a skirt, i actually tuck it into my leggings fully. The structure of the leggings helps smooth the bulk and prevents the sweater from bunching underneathe. Makes a smoother finish for me from the outside. I've also tied a bit of the sweater with a hair elastic and then barely tuck that tail into the skirt. Then the sweater is free to be over the band in most places, but still give waist definition.
