Daily journal prompt - Tuesday
Firstly, sorry for the lack of prompt yesterday, We had a family emergency which inspired todayโ€™s journal promptโ€ฆ Life is unpredictable and this month has been a hell of a reminder of that for me. When things happen, they often come all at once, and it can feel like youโ€™re spinning plates you never asked for, never planned for and never expected. What itโ€™s shown me again is how important it is to have a business that doesnโ€™t collapse the moment life throws a curveball. Because ,โ€œwhen shit hits the fanโ€ , as sometimes it does, we still need our business to keep going. The last thing we would have wanted with a family emergency is to be worried about our business and workload. For todayโ€™s journal, Iโ€™d love you to reflect on this: If life suddenly pulled your focus away, what in your business would keep running and what would be at risk of falling through the cracks? This isnโ€™t about judgement, itโ€™s about awareness. Once you know where the weak spots are, you can start strengthening them.

Spot on and deeply resonates with me at this moment in life. It is hard to focus on the business when the life happens, and I'm still figuring out how to make it run while I deal with life. I hope you're well and that whatever happened gets better quickly xoxo

Workaholic?
I was discussing with a client this week about being called a workaholic. I get called it a lot and my client had been called it this week. Another client told me she loves being referred to as โ€˜Superwomanโ€™. We started unpacking it together and realised that, despite the usual negative spin, neither of us felt offended by it. For us, it was about passion, drive, and the joy of building something meaningful. You do have to be obsessed with what youโ€™re building. Is that the same thing? Have you ever been called a workaholic? How do you or would you feel about being called a workaholic? - Does it land as criticism, or a compliment? - Whereโ€™s the line for you between working hard and working too much? Why not take a few minutes to journal on it, then share if youโ€™re comfortable to do so. Iโ€™m gong to be digging further into this one myself and Iโ€™ll come back to share because we cant discuss this one without discussing burnout.

You wrote a beautiful Facebook post once, or maybe it was a blog, about Narcisim and how the word gets used loosely, I think the same applies to the work Workaholic. There are two types of workaholic, those with a healthy ambition (those driven by purpose or a genuine passion for their job), and the actual workaholic for whom their work becomes their identity, t/fore their worth is one with their job. The latter is a Trauma response. Now I don't know your client, but our response to such a comment would be based on our inner truth. Yes, burnout! Those who work hard because driven by their ambition and love for the job, tent to know when to take breaks and rest ... in whatever shape or form it resonates with them. It could simply be going for a workout even when they know they may have to work over the weekend. For trauma-related workaholism, they find resting difficult because their nervous system needs the rush from constant doing. In my personal experience we can flactuate in between. I have had times where I was stuck in the restless loop of doing, while now I take the breaks my body and brain need and I do so guilt-free.
Colour psychology
@Maria Bello loved your FB post about what your favourite colour says about you. Link for anyone else who wants a read (and give Maria a follow)โ€ฆ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1G318u7vek/?mibextid=wwXIfr My favourite colour is dusky pink ๐Ÿ’•.

@Hayley Partridge Thank you for the shout-out and for sharing my content ๐Ÿ’œ. @Kryssy Hamilton @Gemma Stone @Penny Morgan Thank you for your comments. I have left the META because my spirit doesn't thrive on those platforms, and I have sent a connection request to all of you on LinkedIn. Of course, I'm also in the group๐Ÿ˜ I am open to questions and collaborations ๐Ÿ˜‰ I work with Soul Colours more than Colour Psychology, and I am currently working on a new service called Branding with the Soul, which I believe works better for the "know-like-trust" factor than colour psychology.
Daily journal Prompt - Tuesday
Are you showing up? Imagine your business is a person sitting across the table from you. - How would she describe her relationship with you? - Would she say you give her attention, consistency, and belief? - Or would she say you only show up when you feel like it, or when youโ€™re in crisis mode?

WOW! I just came off a Numerology masterclass, and the energy themes of this upcoming Q4 match perfectly with your daily prompts. ๐Ÿฅฐ

@Hayley Partridge This class was not your typical numerology class; at least I had never heard of it before. This was called the Book of Life numerology, which incorporated numerology, planetary magic, and poker cards. Then I did my own energy mapping, my way, and it matched. @Kryssy Hamilton We seem to have a couple of things in common ๐Ÿ˜‰
