Been seeing a ton of hype around this, so I decided to pull the trigger. I absolutely love Platine Blanc, so my hopes were high. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, this one isn’t for me 😔 I really like the opening. You get a bright, sweet fruity citrus that has a cooling kind of aspect to it, so Frostbite is a fitting name! However, as it dries down, it smells so overly synthetic to my nose. After about an hour, I started getting a headache. As the fragrance continued to dry down, it kept going in the synthetic direction, so I can’t really enjoy it. Longevity is good with about 7-8 hours on skin. Projection is decent for about the first 2 hours. Kind of bummed about this one as I was really looking forward to it. Oh well! As my dad used to say, “They can’t all be first round draft picks!”

Good Morning all - Working through my Roja Samples and I've been very happy so far. Today is the Taif Aoud from Roja. Starts out with a "Spicy Rose" as the opening hit. It settles right down into more of an Ambery Rose with a hint of Powder. In my experience so far with the other Roja's I've tried. The projections is ok/good meaning 2-3' max, but the longevity is wonderful. 8-10hrs. With Compliments coming at the tail end of the time frame. I am hopeful that the Taif will mirror the same experience!! Have a great Monday Everyone!

Today I'm trying the "Sweetie Aoud" from Roja! As it is a bit warmer here today, the mud's will probably be put away for a while. This scent is deftly more floral than our, but in a great way. it is nice and light which seems to pair really well for the 50 degree weather we are seeing today. At first application it shows the woody amber, after the dry down it is more floral (rose) amber. Projections is about 1-2' longevity should be good as I'm several hours in so far and it is doing well. Yesterday I tried the Enigma Oud and had mentioned that I thought the longevity was a bit poor. Turns out I was wrong. I must've been a bit nose blind as I went to a friends house for dinner and when I was treated by my friend wife and received the customary hug & Kiss on the cheek she announced to me and her husband "Oh you smell nice" asking me for the brand so her husband can try it. I promptly smelled myself and look and beholds it was still there. So @Raymond Reeves I wanted to update you and others on this. I am hopeful that this will behave the same! My wife and I a couple of months ago were at a department store in NYC to explore some fragrances. (Shocker) 😜 We met a wonderful salesperson who was very gracious with her time and took us around not just Creed but many other houses. We had mentioned we were interested in Creed but were new to the house. We had bought some other fragrances from her. It was after the holidays so inventory was low. We had such a great time with her. It was a wonderful experience. Today with no warning this care package arrived to our house. 1 box for me another for my wife. They sent us a beautiful hand written note and all of these wonderful samples. Including the NEW Wild Vetiver! This is what the world needs more of. People to people relationships 🙏 I know Creed especially since Prada bought them has a polarizing opinion for some. But this isn’t about the fragrance house it’s about having a relationship with someone who wants to have one with you!
