I want to make my community more fun. I know @Goose Dunlavey talks about how combining your Skool with some random thing you love helps make inside jokes. But I'm not sure what to combine mine with!! I like... Vines (shout out @Samanda Rasmussen) RPGs & fantasy games Yoga Dogs Raves & EDM And probably a bunch of other stuff. But I don't quite know how to "merge" these things with my communities. Or how to encourage inside jokes without being a tryhard. Any tips or ideas?

I think it's always good to inject hints at things you like as if they were bait into the water and see which ones gets get bites from your members. Make a list of those and try more from that. In my case, I'm always going for a Muppets reference, I don't care if anyone takes the bait on those because Muppets will always be awesome.

@Dionne Nicole I like that. My first community I'm building is for theme park photography enthusiasts so I do have a way I can include the Muppets into that. I also tend to alternate my profile pictures between the current one (with a vintage camera) and one where I'm wearing a Kermit the Frog T-shirt holding a Kermit.

@Becky Teresa Just to forewarn you, it's generally considered a "so bad it's good" kind of movie. The plot is a bit light and some of the acting is not the best, but the music scenes are wonderful, it's soundtrack is absolutely amazing. So long as you go in to it not expecting a "Best Picture" Oscar winner, you'll have a good time with the movie.

Love it. Dee Wallace (she played the mom in the movie ET) teaches something very similar as a technique to direct your day as part of her conscious creation methodology. Essentially what you want is like an order from a restaurant. If you want something, just ask for it with your heart in a state of love and expect that it will be brought to you as if it was something you ordered off a menu.

I made an attempt to recreate @Goose Dunlavey 's cover image from the template in lesson 4 and I thought I would share it.. Mainly because I am feeling nervous about showing up with it. Here's what this is bringing up for me: It feels fun and exciting and also it is causing all the questions... 'Is it too bright?, Is it too colorful and glittery? and well, is it too much?'... I am always amazed at that odd thing that rears it's head when we (I) attempt to express all of who we are and what we love (I am/love) can be met with these roadblocks. But, what I DO know is that since I joined Skool a little over a month ago and this community a week ago, I am feeling more and more myself, participating, and having fun - and that is a wonderful feeling!! Happy to hear thoughts, cheers, encouragement, feedback.. conversation. :)
