Let’s Shape Our Community Together
I wanted to share something important with you today so you know exactly what’s happening and why. Over the next little while, this group will shift into a paid community. Not suddenly and not without thought, but in a way that allows me to increase the level of support, structure and value inside here. I want this space to become something special, the kind of community that genuinely helps you grow and actually moves you forward. Now, before anyone worries, if you’re here now, you’re a founding member. Your membership will not change. You won’t lose anything or be asked to upgrade. You’re already part of the foundation of this group and that stays as it is. What I do want to know is this. What do you want from a quality paid community? What would make this space feel valuable, supportive and worth showing up for? A few years ago I created The Goal Achievers Program and I’m thinking about bringing it back because when I ran the quiz in skoolers recently, procrastination came up as the biggest challenge and self doubt was right behind it. These are things we can work through together in a structured way. But I’d love to hear if what I am considering is appropriate and how often you would like to see these in the callander and what else you’d like included. Skool only lets you vote once, so please feel free to write in the discussion as well. Let me know what interests you, what would help you, and what you’d love to see in a premium community. This is our space, so let’s build it together.

@Vasi Smith this is my choice too.
A big heartfelt thank you to some of the beautiful souls in this community. 💜
I want to take a moment to acknowledge a few people who consistently show up, share their wisdom, and genuinely contribute to making this space supportive, thoughtful, and safe: @Leanne Watson @Nancy Solook @Kerry Upham @Chris Lawrence @Lauren Kinghorn @Louise Size Your insights, compassion, and willingness to offer guidance don’t just help the person who asked the question, they help everyone reading quietly in the background too. Community only works when people are brave enough to share and generous enough to support… and each of you embodies that so naturally. Thank you for the light, the expertise, and the heart you bring here. You are deeply appreciated. 💜

Breath, Rhythm, and Connection to Self
I wanted to share something around breathwork, because I know for many people doing breathwork on your own can feel hard, awkward, or even a bit uncomfortable. What I’ve found makes a huge difference is the right music. When you have music with a steady rhythm, especially drums, it gives the breath something to respond to. Breathing to the beat allows you to drop out of your head and into your body, to breathe in rhythm, sometimes hold, sometimes release, and just go deeper without forcing anything. For me, breathing this way feels like a direct line into my higher self, grounded, calm, and connected. I discovered this music on YouTube and it’s been perfect for that kind of breathwork. If you’ve tried doing breathwork before on my own and found it hard to stay with, but with this music it was just so different, this might really support you too: 🎶 Shamanic Drums, Native American Flute, Healing Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3aP2lf1dt8&t=14s If you try it, let the music lead your breath rather than trying to control it. There’s no right way, just notice what happens. I’d love to hear if this resonates with you, or how breathwork feels for you when you practise on your own. 💜

Music definitely helps with my breathe work, however I have never been drawn to the Indian drums. I listened for a while... My sound is more consistent with hand pan music when the scale of A is set to 432 Hz and the other notes correspond. I get lost in the sound as it's similar to your offering, in so far as it doesn't have a song or words. Getting lost in the sound and rhythm is, I believe, what you were getting at. I sometimes wonder if our past spirit connects us to our ancestors through the rhythms we respond to...

@Lorene Roberts just demonstrates how unique we each are 🙃
I just received a most beautiful testimonial from a member who said.
"Lorene is amazing the way she stimulate thoughts and gets feedback. The different responses help you find ways that work for you." Thank you to all the wonderful members who make this group so amazing, your comments are so much appreciated and add so much value to each other. I love reading your responses and please feel free to make your own posts, the more we help each other the more we help ourselves. Thank you xxx

Today’s theme: Asking for what you want
This came up for me again today and it reminded me why I included this exercise a few days ago in Day 23 of the challenge, because it goes much deeper than it sounds. My story- I was never allowed to accept anything including a glass of water when we went visiting because this would inconvenience the people. This also meant I was too afraid to ask to use the toilet in case it put someone out. Ridiculous, I know, but that was my beliefs and my conditioning. When I later heard that not allowing people to give to you is actually doing them a disservice, it honestly threw me. I had lived my whole life like this, well and truly into my adult years so I had to revisit everything I’d ever been taught. That’s when so much clicked into place. I finally understood and realised why my family never gave me what I wanted, ever!!!!! even for presents. As a kid, Santa always “ran out” before he got to me. I got things, but never ever what I truly wanted. I learned very early that: - I shouldn’t ask - I didn’t deserve - And if I wanted something, I’d better get it myself Because I never said what I wanted, I believed disappointment was inevitable. Then, years later, I started seeing the same belief in clients, not always as extreme, but definitely present. Especially in women and mothers. We go without so everyone else can have what they need. And we call it love… but it comes at a cost. So now I teach this: - Ask for what you want - Tell people - Tell the universe Giving is easy for most of us. Receiving and accepting, well that’s the real challenge. Even now, I notice I sometimes struggle to recognise what I actually want. Which is why I use this exercise: Make a list of 100+ things you want. It sounds simple. It’s not. Most people get stuck around 20. This exercise gently rewires the brain. It forces you to think beyond survival and obligation and into desire, possibility, and choice. How can we manifest a life we want if we don’t even know what that is? If you’re willing to try it, comment below and let me know. I’d love to hear how it lands for you.
