"Carnivore didn't work for me."
As a coach, do you interpret this phrase as a common misconception or an accurate experience?
"Carnivore didn't work for me."
I think it’s in the mind, sadly. I’ve spoken to many friends about my experience, and many say they can’t do it. They love [enter food]. Or they need to eat [enter food]. So at the end, if they try it for less than 3 months, or even 1 month, correctly, I don’t think it’s “It didn’t work for me”; it’s, “I don’t want to go through the trouble of healing”. Healing takes time. You nap (which I don’t like but had to do), you feel different (I had histamine issues), you need to troubleshoot, you need to be bold and speak up. Say no, say you don’t eat certain meals. You need to get out of your comfort zone. If clients are not mentally prepared, they will easily say it didn’t work. Then we have two options: Give up on them, or ask what didn’t work? And see if they are willing to troubleshoot with you as a coach. I prefer the latter. If they give up on themselves but have one person that doesn’t, we can change everything. For them and us as coaches. And if they leave, we know we did our best to save a life. 🎀🥩
The Power of Community đź«‚
How do you bring community to your coaching? Carnivore is much more than food.
The Power of Community đź«‚
This is a thinker… aside from working on social media presence, I am thinking about doing lives 1x week to talk about what people have on their minds. 30 minutes? Then put it on YouTube. This will then bring potential clients, who likes me, to my platforms. When I have a specific number of followers I was thinking of adding a 1 week challenge per month, and at the end promote my skool page. This is my phase one🥴 The goal is if they like me and the brand I’m building, they will find like minded, and funnel to a community page like this one. Any suggestion?
@James Dawkins 🥴 thank you for the vote of confidence! I should finish my CCI first🫣 I’m a bit shy to go out without it.
Challenging Through a Plateau!
It's quite easy for one to lose motivation when a they stall or plateau, except these moments are actually the most critical to their success! What coaching techniques and strategies come into effect during these moments?
Challenging Through a Plateau!
Help the client to focus on their why. And their why cannot be to lose weight. That is not strong enough. It needs to be deep. “I want to lose weight so I can get of my meds” “I want to eat this way to …”. Only when they understand their list of why’s, plateau will be easy to manage. Then we can accept clothes fitting better, going of meds etc. but if we don’t have the why early and strong, it’s very hard to explain it when they hit plateau. I like these questions! Keep em coming! 🩷🥩
How to Manage Social Hour Foods
Let's face it, food at social hours are rarely Carnivore friendly. How do you help clients navigate?
How to Manage Social Hour Foods
I like to know what a client’s “weakness” is, if any. And what is their favourite carnivore dish or dishes. So that, when there is a social gathering, they’ve identified their weakness and their strength with food. If they love a good rib eye and it’s a BBQ, bring your rib eye! And protect it because others will bring chicken and want a piece of your steak. 🥩🥴 If cake is your weakness, fake it. Fake that you only like the best of the best of the best. So it does not matter who makes it because it’s not the best. Or, actually, you don’t love it, because of how it doesn’t love you. Reason with the client on both scenario. One will help them be a snob and never touch the food because it’s not worth it, the other won’t touch it because they know what will happen next. Second if there is no way to eat carnivore, I would consider them to use the “I’m fasting”. These are my favourite: Oh! It’s a last minute gathering and I already planned my fast, you know it’s good to give the gut a rest. But I’m fine! I’m here for the company.(and don’t talk about your diet there. Period. Even people with the right intentions will turn the conversation sour, stay firm and say it’s not the place) so my eating window closes at xx, I just can’t eat late anymore, but I’m happy to be here with you all and talk while you eat. And eat at home. Carnivore usually eat 2mads anyway. If you are bold like me: do you mind if I bring my meal at the gathering? I’m trying this new challenge, don’t want to bored you with the details.
We had a bbq last week, my husband and I brought a Picanha, 4pounds, and every one else brought chicken, “sugar sausage”, store bought patties, and sides. Everyone wanted to “try” our picanha. “I’m so sorry, but this is all I’m having, I can’t share”. ( it was a big gathering and we are talking from experience 🥴, not out of selfishness. A small bbq is different from 70 people bringing what they want to eat and the focus is on the sides and dessert.)🥩🩷
I love your niche idea! And I love that you have someone in your community who believes in you. I’ve been around construction workers, and I think if you slowly guide them to a carnivore or even keto diet, they will jump with joy! Most of them love their eggs and bacon over carbs! I learned a lot! Thank you! 🥩💜
