@Cindy Lowe it was my 4th time back trying to get the "other" owner. Guy I talked to said he was going to call. I understand you get busy but it's been a week and honestly I needed the sample, I ran out 😁. It got me his number and time to call. Not calling to let him know other "wasn't" interested, told the guy in the store last night that a competitor "was" interested, which he is but not ready to move yet. After new year he'll be ready.

@Joe Chianese Member Spotlight: The Long Island Express (L.I.E.) ⭐️ Meet your fellow community member, the man who proves that speed, focus, and good humor are the ultimate power combo: Joe Chianese! 🍎 The Day Job: Managing Mayhem with Magic When he’s not setting new records in this community, Joe is an elementary school teacher in Long Island, NY. Now, imagine channeling the energy of a self-professed fast-talker and ADHD-powered action taker into a classroom full of kids. The result? Pure, effective energy. As Joe tells it, "Patience is for the slow lane. My students move fast, I move faster, and that's how we conquer the lesson plan by 10 AM. It’s like controlled chaos, and I love it." 🚀 Community Impact: The 30-Day Dash While many members take their time plotting their course, Joe didn't just walk into the community—he sprinted. Known as the guy who filled his goal card in a staggering 30 days, he embodies the "action taker” mentality. He's proof that being easy-going and fun doesn't mean you can't be intensely focused. Joe is consistently one of the members who stays involved and is always eager to learn and, most importantly, helps others conquer their own challenges. If you see him commenting, listen up—it’s usually the fastest route to a solution. The Transformation: Self-Image Upgrade One of the most inspiring parts of Joe's journey is how he has vastly improved his self-image. He came in ready to work and quickly became the kind of member everyone loves to know—a genuinely great guy who leads by example. 🏡 Quick-Fire Life Stats Hometown: Long Island, NY (Yes, he can confirm which exit on the L.I.E. is the worst.) Family Status: Family Man—The secret to his speed? He’s trying to get home for dinner! Motto (Probably): Why use ten words when two will do? Defining Moment in the Community: Turning that blank goal card into a completed masterpiece in just one month. We’re thrilled to have Joe Chianese setting the pace for this community. If you see him around, gi

Thank you Les, coming from you thats an honor and it's an honor to be a community of people who actually cares about the people. You built up a great community here and Im proud to be a small part of it. That is crazy how it's right on. There are 2 exits on the L.I.E that have absolutely no run off. You need to be doing 80mph coming off the ramp or you get clobbered. Problem is no one does and they stop. So us that are flying and know what to do have slam on the breaks.

Funny Story
This past Thursday I attended a meetup group of the Social Collective Facebook group for Alexandria. I didn't stay long because I had a luncheon to go to right after but I did talk with two people there, one of whom was the newly hired marketing coordinator for a moving company. I told her about my door prize - one free ad on my community mailer .. and told her I hoped she won because I would love to get a moving company on the card. Yesterday she emailed me to let me know she DID win it. What were the chances?? So now I have a new advertiser for the next card already.

That stuff works in your favor, ask the Universe 😁
Let's give it a try....
Here is my email for today. Good afternoon, My name is Joe, and I own a local business in West Islip. I’m putting together a community co-op postcard that showcases trusted local businesses and is mailed to about 5,000 households within the West Islip area. Would you have any interest in being featured? Thank you,Joe Chianese 631-306-4052

Thoughts....
She replied to my 9x12 cold email "is this like a directory?" Hi Michelle,Thanks for getting back to me. This is a full 4" × 3" ad shared with 16 other local businesses on a professional, oversized postcard. I’ve attached a sample so you can see the quality — heavy stock, full color, and professionally designed. Would 4:30 today be a good time for a quick call? Best,Joey

Looking to get started in the 9x12 postcard market. I have owned my own business before and now it's time to do it again.
