Free community as a lead magnet vs. low-ticket standard tier
I.am.torn. I said The Level Up Lounge would be free for the first 100, thinking I would then go $7 standard/$27 premium/$97 VIP. But I also see the benefit of staying free and offering pay-as-you-go options like you are @Lidia Axe. I'm curious to hear from you all. How did you decide? What "sold" you? Help me make up my mind because this holding pattern is killing me. Ads crushed it on free: 100 members in 20-some days, About Page converting near 22%. Engagement at 44% currently - what's a good benchmark for that? Should I test a low-tier paid with ads for 72 hours and see? I can always go back to free. So.many.questions.

My freemium community seems to be doing good convertion wise. Not ultra impressive, but I got 8 members upgrading minutes after joining due to ther onboarding process. I don't know if I could reach similar results with 2 communities as upgrading from the current one is less work than joining a new one. The only advantage of a second paid community the way I see it is having a exclusive chat tread (AKA the community tab) so paid members get exclusive posts.

@Lidia Axe yeah the closed group feel is the biggest advantage and depending on the offer you give it's what makes the most sense. It's not my case as what I offer is more promotional services, but if you want to sell exclusive conversations, exclusive offers and etc, the old model works better, even if it's at a higher cost.
Does your community only stay alive because you're in it 24/7?
Day 2 is of the Community Clinic is going to cover some cool engagement topics. Another specialist is in the ER. Next session is Make People Come Back Without You Chasing Them. @Paulo Costa, The Roaster is joining us to show you how to build a community that hums with activity even when you step away — no chasing, no begging, no burning yourself out. If the moment you stop posting the feed goes quiet, you don't have a community. You have a job. Paulo helps you flip that — building the systems, triggers and habits that make members come back on their own. Paulo is the founder of Roast & Promote — a community where members submit their communities, content and ideas for real feedback, and connect with people in their niche. He knows exactly what keeps people coming back. 👉 What have you tried to keep members coming back? Drop your biggest retention question below. Paulo will see this. -- - Full calendar of events here - All sessions & speakers introductions here - Purchase all-access pass for $27 (all recordings & VIP sessions) here

Hey @Zena Ryder. A big thing to go around that is giving clear instructions for people on how to engage. I made detailed posts explaining the kinds of posts people can make and use categories to describe those types in a way that I hope is intuitive. I also make post examples and explain to people that they can make similar posts. That seems to work. As you can see, Roast & Promote has posts across all categories and there are several of them.

If you joined this community, you’re not a consumer. You’re an action taker. Most people talk about building a community. You decided to build one. 👉🏻 So first things first: TAKE ACTION! STEP 1. Introduce yourself in the comments here: - Who you are - The outcome you want in 30 days - Your current stage (idea / validating / building / live) . PLS USE the poll or in the comment STEP 2. Do NOT Launch Yet (If You Haven’t) If you haven’t created your Skool community, pause. Action does not mean rushing. Start with Day 1 inside the Classroom and move in order. Clarity → Launch. STEP 3. Questions so far? Post them here or as a separate post in the Q&A category. Or in the relevant step. Public questions help everyone move faster. The rules are simple: - There are no stupid questions - The only stupid questions are those not asked No silent observers here. You joined because you want results. Let’s begin.
