How I got free access to a $30k/month flow
"Nobody ever asked." That's what she said when I asked if any restaurant had ever paid for referrals. 600 guests a month. Walking into a city they don't know. Hungry. Lost. Credit card ready. And the restaurant next door never thought to ask. I was just visiting family. My wife's aunt owns a 48-room hotel. She told me she wanted to grow the hotel, so I started asking questions. She told me guests would ask "where can I eat around here" every single day. That was my tell. I opened my laptop. Over the weekend, with beer and Claude, I built a local concierge page. She gives me credentials. I make it live. Deal I proposed: "I build it. I maintain it. You pay nothing. When partners start paying for placement - we split." She said yes before I finished. Here's why that structure works: I had zero leverage walking in. So I went in free. Delivered first. Now I negotiate from value proven, not value promised. She's not in the "room" business. She's in the "people distribution" business. I'm in the ACO business. One hotel = 2-3k/month, fully automated. My city alone has 58 more in the same category. You don't need to own the road. You need a toll position on a road that already has traffic. Nobody ever asked that restaurant. I just asked first. What's flowing right past you today that nobody's bothered to monetize? (If you do it too, I'm happy with a 10% cut :)

CDOD: First Official Coffee Date!
I just had my 1st coffee date that I got on my own! (not a referral :) It went great and he's all in. We put it on the calendar for early May (he's traveling) and I already have an auction for next week from someone who was traveling last month so it works out perfectly! Wooo Hooo! Thanks @Travis Sago for this brilliant strategy.

CDOD: First Auction Coffee Date In The Books!
What's up my Ronin brotha's and sista's? I just wrapped up my first Auction coffee date! We'll be moving forward with a pre-auction poll test next week to guage interest. She was very excited and loved the ideas we discussed with no real resistance. Just some questions clarifying certain things. At the end of our call she said this: "I really enjoyed this conversation because I feel like you've asked really good questions. I've had some marketing people that just don't understand what I do or understand the heart behind what I do. And I feel very, like, kind of bullied into decisions, and I have not felt that way at all. I feel like you have a really good energy." Even if the test flops and we don't end up doing an auction? I feel like I won because of how I showed up on this coffee date. It's only taken me fifty eleven coffee dates but I'm getting there! - Ronin Chad

Easter 🐰 Pop Quiz
You’re gonna run a POLL for the Easter bunny. Writing the poll for a kid… šŸ‘‰ Do you mention waking up early, putting on itchy clothes and sitting through a sermon? Or… šŸ‘‰ Do you just talk about the egg hunt, Easter basket and prizes? If you get THIS… You have the foundations for running kick ass polls that bring in $$$. (Pre-auction polls too!) A. Itchy clothes? B. Easter basket with candy and prizes? šŸ‘‡ Happy Easter, Travis

Small Auction to Long Term Partnership
@Marcus Karl and I had a debrief call with a partner we ran an auction for last month. Shoutout to @Travis Sago for referring us to the opportunity. As much as I would like to report another $174k banger: it was far from that. His Skool community was pretty much dead. Before we arrived his last post was 6+ months ago. He has an email list of 20k that's mostly dead too. We still wanted to get our reps in so we still ran the campaign. The auction brought was less than $20k revenue and around $6k CC. Not exactly the sexiest numbers. But... we're still walking away with some big (non-monetary) wins. Win #1: We honed our auction campaign skills. And, in my opinion, executed the campaign wonderfully. We learned from our last campaign not to make the same mistakes this time around. Between the copy, the tapping, the hero offer, the domino offer (thanks Travis for helping us)... There's really not much that I can think of that we could have done better. We made due with what we had to work with. Win #2: We got to put our mojo/ronin learnings into play. There was so much that needed/needs to be fixed in this partners business. Overall messaging, lead gen strategy, etc etc. Marcus and I genuinely enjoy working with this partner, and his offer is insanely good. As we demonstrated our expertise, the partner had full trust in us. We were able to bounce ideas, try new things out, and make a meaningful impact on how he runs his business moving forward. Win #3: Partner sees us as longterm, ongoing partners. Could this turn into a money printer? Potentially. The offer is good enough. But the real win here is that Marcus and I are now seen as a trusted business partners. We'll be able to test new ideas, run different campaigns, set up JV's and sharpen our skills. For example, we're setting up a deal with another coach to take up some real estate in the group, we're getting an email marketer on board to get his list rockin, there's talks of JVing with another RE coach to offer his HT backend to the community as an upsell and putting this partners offer to fulfill the LT needs.
