P IS FOR PROGRESS... AND APPARENTLY, PANIC. They say success requires Practice, Preparation, Persistence, Presence, and Progress. Personally, I’d like to add a few more P’s to the process... Patience – Because apparently, success doesn't happen by Thursday. Passion – Because if you're going to lose sleep over something, it might as well be something you love. Purpose – Because running fast in the wrong direction is still called being lost. Positivity – Especially when your bank account says, "Perhaps you should sit down." Perseverance – Because quitting is easy, but then what are you going to complain about? Procrastination – Because sometimes you need to put things off until tomorrow... or possibly next year. Panic – That special moment when you realize the deadline you ignored is actually TODAY! Problem-Solving – Because panicking doesn't fix the problem... but apparently, we like to try that first. And finally... Pizza – Because no great plan should be executed on an empty stomach. So remember: Practice. Prepare. Persist. Be Present. Make Progress. But when all else fails... Pause. Breathe. Panic a little. Then proceed. #PowerOfP #Practice #Preparation #Persistence #Presence #Progress #Purpose #Pizza

I Almost Ended the Call…
🎤🔥 SOMETIMES ONE MORE QUESTION CHANGES THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION… I had a phone call today that reminded me of something I'm trying to become much better at. The call wasn't a sales call. A customer was reaching out about an outstanding invoice. We discussed the payment, figured out what worked best, and that part of the conversation was basically finished. I could have simply said: “Thank you. Have a great day.” And hung up. But before we ended the call, I remembered some additional projects that had been discussed previously. So instead of launching into everything we could do… Instead of trying to sell another project… Instead of saying: “Hey, while I have you…” 😂 I simply asked a question. I explained that I was planning my upcoming schedule and asked whether those other projects were something they were still considering. And then… I stopped talking. 👂 The customer explained that they're wrapping things up for the season, but there are additional projects they want to organize for the spring. They'll discuss everything internally, determine what they want to move forward with, and we'll reconnect. No hard close. No pressure. No trying to get a deposit before hanging up. 😂 Just one question that gave me the information I needed — and potentially opened the door to future business. And it made me think about the pitching lesson I shared earlier. Maybe we don't always need a better PITCH. Maybe sometimes we need a better QUESTION. 🎯 I'm learning that there is a big difference between: “Let me tell you what else I can sell you…” and: “What are you thinking about doing next?” One is centered around my agenda. The other creates room for their answer. And their answer may lead to an opportunity. Or it may not. Either way, I understand the customer better than I did before. That's something I'm working on in my own businesses: 👂 Listen more. ❓ Ask better questions. 🤝 Don't force the next step. 🚪 Leave the door open. Because sometimes you don't have to close the next opportunity today.

🎤🔥 I GOT PITCHED THIS MORNING… AND THE PERSON DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THEY WERE TEACHING ME A PITCHING LESSON. 😂🎤
Something happened this morning that made me stop and think. 🤔 I had a conversation with someone I had never met before. It started with one simple word: “Hello.” 👋 Nothing unusual about that. So I responded and asked a genuine question. The question wasn't really answered. Instead, I was asked about my business. I answered — and asked another question back. 🎤 Again, they didn't really answer my question. Then the conversation quickly moved toward: 💻 What they do 📈 The results they've gotten 👉 And eventually an invitation for me to try what they're doing. And that's when something clicked for me. 💡 This wasn't necessarily about whether the opportunity was GOOD or BAD. It was about something much more important: How did the conversation make me FEEL? I didn't feel understood. I didn't feel like the person was genuinely curious about me. I felt like I was being moved toward a solution before anyone had even discovered whether I had the problem that solution was supposed to solve. And then I had to turn the mirror around. 🪞 🔥 How many times have I done some version of this in MY OWN business? That's where it became a lesson for me, not criticism of someone else. As entrepreneurs, salespeople, and business owners, we get excited about what we do. We know how much our product or service can help someone. So we start explaining… And explaining… And explaining… 😂🎤 Meanwhile, we may not have asked enough questions to understand the human being standing in front of us. That reminded me of something I'm working hard to become better at: 👂 LISTEN before you pitch. ❓ UNDERSTAND before you offer. 🤝 Determine whether there's a FIT before you try to close. Because sometimes the strongest pitch isn't: “Here's what I can do for you.” Sometimes it's simply: “Tell me more…” ❤️ And maybe their answer leads to your product or service. Maybe it doesn't. Either way, you've had a real conversation instead of treating another human being like a prospect. There was another lesson here too. 👀

@Joseph Weaver Absolutely! This is such a powerful lesson in communication and pitching. What’s the biggest challenge you’re facing right now when it comes to achieving what you want? That question creates space for the other person to be heard instead of immediately making assumptions about what they need. I've learned that people don't want to feel like they're being processed through a sales funnel. They want to feel seen, heard, and understood. Sometimes the best thing we can do as entrepreneurs is slow down, listen, and let the conversation reveal whether there is truly a fit.

@Joseph Weaver Great question! For me, the next question would be something to the effect, “How is that challenge affecting you right now?” I ask that because I don't just want to know what the problem is. I want to understand what the problem is actually costing them, emotionally, financially, professionally, or personally. Sometimes people will tell you the surface-level challenge, but when you give them space to talk, you discover there's something much deeper underneath it. For example, someone might say, I'm struggling to grow my business, but the real challenge might be that they're overwhelmed, don't know where to start, lack confidence, or have tried so many things that they no longer trust another solution. That's why I believe the conversation has to come before the presentation and if you listen long enough, and people will often tell you exactly what they need. And you're absolutely right, the system should support the relationship, never replace it. Now let me turn the question back to you, once someone has shared their challenge and you’ve uncovered how it’s truly affecting them, what question do you ask to help them discover for themselves that a solution is possible?

@Nalini Morris are you using ostentatious as a way of letting us know how wealthy you are, perhaps by wearing a diamond-encrusted watch, driving a luxury car, and living in a mansion designed to make absolutely sure we know just how rich you are? 😂

I Didn’t Disappear — I’ve Been Building the Engine ⚙️🔥
It’s been a little while since I’ve been active here, and I wanted to check back in and share what I’ve been working on behind the scenes. Over the last several weeks, I made a decision to put my head down and start building the systems behind my businesses — not just talking about what I wanted to create, but actually building it. CRM. Funnels. Email campaigns. SMS follow-up. Direct mail. Lead nurturing. Social media. AI content. Automated follow-up. And now connecting these systems together so they can communicate and work 24/7, even when I’m somewhere else helping a client or working on another part of the business. GSD has become my front-end command center, while Make is becoming the engine behind the scenes connecting everything together. And I can tell you—it has definitely tested me. 😂 Things break. Automations don't fire. One little setting can send you down a rabbit hole for hours. Then suddenly everything connects and you watch an automation run from beginning to end on its own…and you realize why you stayed with it. One lesson keeps becoming clearer: The goal isn't automation just to automate. The goal is freedom to spend more time doing the things only YOU can do. I’m extremely grateful for the teaching and inspiration I've received from Dr. Forbes Riley, Ryker, and McKenna. 🙏 I haven't stepped away from what I'm learning here. In many ways, I've been trying to put the teaching into action—building the infrastructure now so I can come back stronger, communicate better, serve more people, and create more opportunities. So if anyone was wondering where I went… 😂 I didn't disappear. I was building. ⚙️ Building systems. 🤖 Creating automations. 📧 Building follow-up. 📱 Creating marketing engines. 🧠 Learning AI. 🤝 And ultimately creating more capacity to help more people. Now I want to hear from my Skool family: What have YOU been building while nobody was watching? What are you working on today that you believe could look completely different 6–12 months from now if you stay consistent?
