Actually @Chris Legaspi I have one question for you please and thank you. Is it ok to draw without time limit or should I really stick to them?

@Chris Legaspi Thanks Chris. I’ll keep the timer going for the lessons but add a no time limit sketch here and there to break it up.
How to self correct errors?
Hi everyone. As the title says, I am looking to improve my ability to correct my drawings. I can see the errors, but I end up making a mess on the page if I try to draw over my work. When sculpting or 3d modelling, I will just blast out shapes that need to be fixed, move proportions, etc. Whilst drawing, I don't have this skillset quite developed yet, as I am nowhere near experienced drawing as I am with those other mediums. At the moment, I am thinking of drawing larger and much lighter. So it gives me wiggle room to make adjustments without erasing. Also, I find I am drawing quite rigidly while trying to adhere to the steps in the lectures. Not very loose, as if I am trying to lay down the "perfect" mark the first time. I hope this makes sense and if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. Thanks!

@Dan Hudson thanks Dan. How much larger compared to the current drawings would you recommend?

@Dan Hudson Thank you Dan! Appreciate the advice. I’ll start by doubling it and see how that feels.
5 minute head studies
Here are my first attempts at 5 minute head studies for the figure drawing module. Finding it challenging to draw with undercup grip at such a small size. May change to overhand grip when drawing so small, or make my next studies substantially larger.

Drawing setup question
I keep my pad between my knees against a tables edge and draw but this causes instability. For example vertical lines sometimes get tilted and I notice them later. I have also kept the pad on my thigh but I don't like it. Any tips if someone has overcame that instability?

@Subham Sharma Sorry I forgot to add that. It varies, I’ll either rest on my pelvis, knees, or even on the arms of my chair 🪑, for that particular setup. Just try what is comfortable for you. I should add that there is no instability for me. The board is firmly in place regardless of how I place it.

@Subham Sharma Posture is decently straight. I’ll grab a photo when I can. As for cost I don’t remember, it was during lockdown and may have been roughly $25.
