Tell me about Yourself!
Hi there! I'm here to help you improve your Japanese skills and connect with amazing people in this community! Please introduce yourself and say hi to your new friends! Let’s start with me! - Name: Mone Takagi - Nationality: I'm Japanese and was raised in Osaka 🐙 (so I have a Kansai dialect!) - What are your amazing skills? Speaking English, Dancing 🎧 - What's your favorite way to spend your time? Talking with people, going to the gym, and enjoying coffee at a café ☕️ - What do you do for work? I used to be a police officer in Japan, but I wanted to see and experience more of the world. Now, I’m a Japanese tutor on Preply! ✅ My Preply Profile - What's your goal in this community? I want to make this community the best platform for all Japanese learners, regardless of their level! I understand that learning a new language or traveling to a foreign country alone can feel scary and lonely. Through this platform, I hope to help everyone feel more confident! Now it’s your turn! 🚀 - Name - Nationality - What are your amazing skills? - What's your favorite way to spend your time? - What do you do for work? - What's your goal in this community?

Gal Slang💄💕🎀
😢ぴえん pien **"ぴえん"** is a slang word used mainly by young people (especially "gyaru" girls in Japan) to express **sadness or wanting to cry**, but in a **cute or playful way**. It’s kind of like saying **“I’m sad 😢”** or **“crying~”** in a lighthearted, dramatic tone. ex:え。__くん彼女できたって!まじぴえん。 e.__ kun kanojo dekitatte! maji pien. What? ____-kun got a girlfriend! Seriously, what a shock. 今日学校の後アルバイトあるんだけど…ぴえん。 kyou gakkō no ato arubaito arun dakedo… pien. I have a part-time job after school today... I'm sad. 🔥しか勝たん shika katan **「しか勝たん」** (*shika katan*) is a trendy slang phrase used mostly by young people in Japan. It means something like: 🟢 **“Only [this] is the best!”** 🟢 **“Nothing beats [this]!”** 🟢 **“This is everything!”** It’s used to show **strong love, support, or obsession** with something or someone—especially idols, anime characters, food, fashion. ex:ラーメンしか勝たん。 ramen shika katan. Nothing beats Ramen! ワンピースしか勝たん。 wanpīsu shika katana. One-piece is the best. 🤯詰んだ This slang comes from **shogi (Japanese chess)** and originally means "checkmate" — when there's **no way to win** or **no moves left**. In modern slang, people say **「詰んだ」** when they're in **big trouble**, **stuck**, or when **there’s no way out** of a bad situation. It’s like saying: 🟣 *“I’m screwed.”* 🟣 *“I’m done for.”* 🟣 *“Game over.”* ex:テスト勉強してない。明日なのに。詰んだ。 tesuto benkyou shite nai. ashita nanoni. tsunda. I didn’t study for the test and it’s tomorrow. I’m screwed. パソコン壊れてデータ消えた…詰んだ。 pasokon kowarete deta kieta… tsunda. My computer crashed and all my data’s gone… I’m done. 🍻KP **"KP"** is short for **「かんぱい」 (kanpai)**, which means **“Cheers!”** in Japanese. People often write **“KP”** in texts, tweets, or messages when they’re drinking (even virtually) and want to say **“cheers”** in a casual or cute way. 💛Did you know any of it?? If you know some other slangs, please share with me🎀
