Traversing the Skooliverse
Do you woo woo? (Is this post ok here?) I was raised kinda woo woo...it's part of what makes me weird. I love biofeedback for self-regulation, meditation, mindfulness... Wondering if it runs deep in Gooseify or SKOOL? Or if I am a fish out of water. Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine? Energy Psychology? Quantum Physics? Maths? Reiki? Qigong? Tai Chi? Have you tried any? Do you love any? Do you do any? Do you want to?

@Stacy Oros ok. I wanted to make sure... Do you do physical adjustments as a chiropractor? Have you ever heard of a chiropractor adjusting energetically?

@Sharon Prahl A comprehensive list is forming here in Goosify! You have seen heard and done a TON of work...you must be a Master Self-Regulator, how could you not be?
What's the most obscure fact you've learned today?
So there I was, tangled in Reformer straps like a human pretzel, when my Pilates instructor Lauren dropped this bomb: "Think of yourself as a seahorse." Me: "What are you talking about?" Lauren: eyes gleaming with marine biology passion, "Seahorses have the most romantic daily ritual! Every morning, they dance together to strengthen their bond. They change colours, intertwine tails, and pirouette around shared holdfasts!" She starts demonstrating on the Reformer, moving like a graceful sea creature while I look like a beached whale. "And get this," she continues, "the MALE gets pregnant! The female has an ovipositor—basically a penis-equivalent—and deposits eggs into his brood pouch!" The entire class stopped, while Lauren continued. "He carries up to 2,000 babies and goes into labour for HOURS, pumping and thrusting to birth them all!" She even showed us a video. Honestly, the birthing motion looks like he's sneezing. Then, get this, they immediately mate again. 🙄 Every day's a school day for me. What about you? What obscure fact have you learned today?

Holy seahorse! Obscure fact for the day....hm....I suppose for me it's seahorse lore, too! They are very cool little beings. My mom used to keep a saltwater fish tank and we had a few seahorses over the years - really loved them.
HEY GANG
I just joined! I am a dairy farmer + serial entrepreneur. I have always felt like an outcast in my local community so I am happy to be here and connect with you all! Fun things I enjoy....taking messy action, being a farm girl but being a total girly girl, I am bold online but shy AF in person, I love being a little rebellious and keep people guessing, I love kesha and I enjoy a stiff drink with a WI fish fry. Tell me about YOU???!!

@Amanda Read Me, too! I'm surprised by that (in myself) but I LOVE it!

I'm unsure what I'm surprising good at in this moment... I am a natural at some things...like being a friend or mom - I'm glad I'm those things. I surprised myself when I went to college and grad school. I know I'm a great therapist but it's draining - that surprised me. . .Being a great teacher I guess is surprising to me, as I didn't go to school for it but my supervisor when I was becoming a teaching told me I'm a natural...so that surprised me. Hm. Thanks for the question and for reading my musings.
