Community Call Recap: Regulate. Communicate. Connect. πΏ
Solid session!! I honestly felt like I bombed it, but the feedback was incredible - we can never know the full impact that we make on others "You can't see the label from inside the jar" The core insight: 93% of communication is nonverbal. Your tone, your pace, your body language β and underneath all of it, your nervous system state. People feel you before they hear you. This goes all the way back to infancy, when co-regulation with your caretaker was literally a matter of survival. That wiring doesn't go away. The framework: State β Story β Strategy Your state is the physiological foundation. From that state, your nervous system generates a story. From that story, your strategy β your actions β emerge. Get the state right, and everything downstream starts to shift. What we practiced: - Box breathing - 4-4-4-4, the Navy SEAL standard. Two modes: calm-focused rhythm for daily practice, and a sharper, more intentional version right before a high-stakes moment. - Somatic neck release - applying pressure at the base of the skull while moving the eyes left and right. A full range-of-motion reset in under five minutes. @Lorenzo Missione let his nervous system yawn, Greg felt it, Mari is already making it daily practice An insight that came up: "Your body cannot lie to you. In an age of AI and fake news β learn that language." On asking for money, owning your gifts, showing up anyway: @Christiano asked why getting tattoos feels fine but charging for coaching feels painful. The answer: different parts of you are integrated at different levels. The path through is repetition - building that confirmation bias, the evidence of your new identity, until it becomes your new normal. And my glucose dropped right before the call. I was seeing double. But the breath was there. The state held. The strategy followed. That's the power of the framework demonstrated in real time. Keep Breathing πΏ
