Who are my fellow Barefoot steerers?
I find that steering barefoot gives me more gripping capabilities for increased stability. However, after a longer practice (75 to 90 min) my feet start to hurt. Any suggestions on steer shoes that still provide foot grip?

Thanks!
What was your biggest takeaway from the summit?
WHAT. A. DAY!!! Thank you all for coming to the Virtual Summit today - this fledgling event really exceeded our expectations! So many of you kept showing up session after session, engaged thoughtfully, asked stellar questions — thank you. And extra thank yous to @Megan Roberts and @Anne Baker for generously sharing their time and expertise with us. We all learned so much from you! Replays will be available soon, and we'll be sending you a proper feedback form too, but in the meantime, would love to know your biggest takeaway from the day. Did something land in an unexpected way? Did you have a big aha? Tell us in the comments.

@Liisa Reimann I'd love some drills to combat boredom.
Homework: On-water interactions with other boaters
If you practice where other boaters (especially motor boaters) are present, make sure you know what the relevant rules of the waterways are. How do you think others with whom you share your waterway(s) perceive dragon boats (i.e. as welcome, an annoyance, etc.)? How could the relationship between dragon boaters and other types of recreational boaters be improved? #level1

Luckily on Portage Lakes (Ohio) rules are posted, and we have no-wake zones. The speed boat lanes and times are posted as well. Our BCS team has been paddling on our lake for 20 years so we often see pontoon boats, kayakers, etc taking photos as we go by. Non-motorized boats have the right away over motor boats. That being said, we do have small motorized fishing boats with drivers that might be on the lake for the first time. My approach there is to give them a wide birth because in addition to wake, there are also fishing lines to be aware of. We almost had a drummer get decapitated when our boat crossed a fishing line. Definitely something to pay attention to!!
