Joy Can Hold Remembrance
Today is Memorial Day in the United States. And while many of us may be enjoying a long weekend, sunshine, food, family, rest, or a slower Monday, I want to pause and honor what this day is truly about. Today we remember the men and women who died while serving our country. Not as a vague idea. Not as a calendar square. But as real people. People with families. Stories. Laughs. Favorite meals. Inside jokes. Dreams they did not get to finish. And I think joy has a place here, not the loud, confetti kind of joy, but the sacred kind. The kind of joy that says: I will not waste this life. I will notice the people around me. I will love out loud. I will practice gratitude with my feet on the ground. I will remember that freedom is not abstract. It has names. Joy does not erase grief. Joy can sit beside remembrance. Joy can become reverence. Joy can become the way we live with more intention because someone else gave everything. So today, our joy practice is simple: Pause for a moment of gratitude. Say a prayer. Think of a family who is missing someone today. Notice something beautiful. Hug someone a little longer. Send the text. Take the walk. Live this day with honor. And then, if you feel comfortable, share below: What is one thing you are grateful for today? Today we remember. Today we honor. Today we let joy be a form of gratitude.

Yes, while we have friction, no one owns “we are America” (See Heather Cox Richardson today NYTIMES). So many amazing his:her stories of people who gave their all. I am so grateful today for our beautiful environment. May we take care of the creation.
ONE TEXT. BIG RIPPLE. ✨
Send one joyful text today. That’s it. A quick “thinking of you” can shift someone’s whole day… including yours. Science bite: Sending kindness boosts dopamine + oxytocin 🧠💛 Drop DONE when you’ve sent it And invite someone else to join the ripple 🌊

Done
Who are you sending your joyful text to today?
Not someday. Not when you have more time. Today. One message. One moment. One tiny spark that could shift someone’s entire day. Now here’s your move: 1. Start your own post titled: I’m in 2. Send your joyful text 3. Come back and comment done on your post each day you send one This is how we build something bigger than motivation. This is how we build momentum. This is how we create a million moments of joy. I’ll be watching, cheering, and sharing your wins along the way. Let’s go light up some lives 🔥💛

I want for a small walk that help a little but the feeling is still there stuck. I just want to have a good day. I know soon I will go to bed. I will do some of my diamond art maybe put music on that is calming. I am on my grounding mat.
