What are some issues you have with writing?
I want to know some of the major issues you are facing when it comes to writing. Is the amount of time you feel you must, right? Is it the not knowing what to write about? Is it the consistency of writing? The fear of writing things down and realizing the thoughts are now on paper? Whatever it is I want to know so we can have more of a deeper understanding of how we can help you. I say "We" a lot in this community because we are in this together. I may know some things, but definitely don't know everything so if there are others that can help with sharing insight or knowledge please chime in. Each one teach one is my motto. 😃 So let us know in the comments! As always "I'm constantly praying for y'all."
What are some issues you have with writing?
An issue I faced when writing was having too many thoughts and the pressure of needing to stay within a structure with line paper/journals. Later in life I tried an open page drawing book (no lines). Having a true blank sheet helped me start. May be silly but, once I changed what I wrote in, that helped me express more freely with words, shapes, or whatever else I felt at the time.
Sending prayers back your way too🙏🏽
Put your emotions into your writings
One thing that has helped me be more emotionally mature is being able to be in touch with my emotions to express them properly. The way that I was able to achieve that is through writing! How you ask? Well, I tell you.... I just did it. To be honest with you there is no real secret to it you just have to do it. 😃 Anytime I felt some type of way I would go into my journal and write. I made a decision to write instead of going to other things to express myself. Now mind you I didn't have access to a lot of things like social media, a lot of friends, and other distractions like most of us have now. However, key point to this is, to learn to write, you have to make a decision to want to write. Dedicate time to write. Instead of picking up your phone to get on social media or play a game write. I guaranteed you it will give you a different type of relief. Try it and see.
Put your emotions into your writings
“to learn to write, you have to make a decision to want to write.” Then just start 🔥👌🏾
Writing is boring...
So many young people tell me that don't like writing because it's boring. But when I ask why it is boring, they can't give me a real answer to why, other than when they are in school, they have to write a lot. Which to be honest I think that's cap!!! Why because most of the schools are using tablets and laptops for the kids to do their work. There is not too much writing involved. Which is kind of weird of why my son never has pencils to write with to do homework🤔 But I digress... I want to know what makes writing boring. I want to start a challenge for those who do like writing and want to grow in their writing skills. I have been journaling since I was 8 years old, and to this day I write in my journals for a few reasons: -It helps me release stress -Improves my word understanding and choices -improves my writing skills and penmanship -helps me see where I been and where I'm trying to go -furthers my imagination in creating anything I want Creating this skool community was something I wrote down years ago, now it wasn't specific in the wording, but creating a space for the youth to feel safe and want to interact is what I wanted to do and I'm doing it now! Comment why you like to write or if you don't and why!
Writing for me started with the love of art and drawing. Also going to church and hearing: Write it down, make it plain, also planted a seed for me. Moving to current day, most millionaires or people of success will say : write a plan, make it clear, set a date, list all problems , and more - in order to achieve ANY goal. So if nothing else, the fundamentals writing may be worth considering 😅🙏🏽

THE YOUTH NEEDS A SAFE PLACE...
I know I can't be the only one who feels this way... I want to know who has kids or have been around kids and see the shift in their behaviors compared to how you were brough up. There is a big disconnect between generations which is not the problem because of course we will evolve; however, I feel like a lot of the basic foundations have been lost and forgot. For example: 1. Going outside and playing until the streetlights come on. 2. Reading books in school and taking weekly test. 3. Writing classes in school or writing period 4. Playing with friends without electronics. This is just a few... but what I realize is because these youth don't have a lot of human interaction, they are less wanting to talk let alone share their thoughts or emotions if it's not outside of what benefits them in that moment. I would love to hear your feedback on this....
THE YOUTH NEEDS A SAFE PLACE...
I have kids and been around them. Your right, it’s like they don’t even want to bother with the attempt now a days. What have you found helps them express themselves when they sit in your chair?
